THE PAST:
4th Interval
(long)

Turn- 981 Sr. Gold Lorunth flies between as her rider, retired Weyrwoman, Chluer dies from a sweating sickness.
Turn 994- the fifteenth clutch of Gold Herath, her only gold daughter hatches, Beynath, who impresses to Candidate Marisol.
Turn 997- Beynath rises for the first time. Does not rise again for another 1.5 Turns.
Turn 1004- Beynath is now Senior Queen of Telgar. Weyrleader is now T'vern of Bronze Hemoth.
Turn 1013- New Weyrleader, R'slon of Bronze Eskarth.
Turn 1018- 17th clutch of Queen Beynath, First Gold egg on the sands since Beynath hatched. Talorath impresses to Igraine. (Sent to Fort in 1031, due to the death of their Senior, the junior Queen died in an accident.)
Turn 1026- New Weyrleader, J'teb of Bronze Dorth.
Turn 1027- 28th clutch of Queen Beynath, her second Gold Egg hatches revealing Valoith. (Sent to Ista Weyr in Turn 1034, to increase bloodlines there, is now Senior Queen of Ista.)
Turn 1039- New Weyrleader, Q'tre of Bronze Tlanth.
Turn 1041- the 43rd clutch of Queen Beynath. 3rd and last Gold egg of Beynath hatches.
Turn 1053 - Weyrwoman Marisol, Gold Beynath Retire at ages 75 and 59 respectively. One of the longest reigns of a senior Queen ever recorded. Thus their time as leader had a great impact on Telgar. Golden Adeloth clutched a Gold Egg. Sheluth impressed to Neory.
Turn 1054- The illnesses that swept through Pern left Telgar weyr at a loss for Candidates. Retired Queen Beynath and her rider Betweened. (Marisol was dying of the illness)
Turn 1055- A dangerous plot sent some riders and children back in time to age ten turns to create more Candidates for Adeloth's large clutches. The children and riders returned many impressing to Sheluth's 1st Clutch.
Current Turn: 1056
The 5th Pass could start at any time. The concern that the dragons are not producing enough is brought to light at the Weyrleader's conclave by Senior Weyrwoman of Igen, Jenafa. The Leaders decide to switch out Junior Weyrwoman both in hopes that new blood will create larger clutches and that the Weyrs will become more bonded.
Telgar Weyr had been under the leadership of now deceased Weyrwoman Marisol, a feminist. The Weyr now has more women on greens than men though the current leadership no longer permits women to stand unless there is a Gold. As thread is expected at any time, women are needed to repopulate rather then die fighting or even create holes in wings due to absences related to prenancy. Due to these facts the new Sr. Weyrwoman has made it very difficult for women to stand, let alone impress.
Telgar Weyr has strong connections with Ista Weyr and Fort, though they all dissagree on some points here or there. Telgar Weyr is at odds most with Igen and High Reaches. (Different outlooks on threads return and such) There has been some disquiet among dragonriders. Some people believe that thread will return, others think it is a thing of the past and that there is no need to worry about it, still others are teetering in the middle. No one is certain of course.
The Holds beholden to Telgar Weyr are Telgar Hold and Crom Hold. The two Holds are often at odds with eachother, as old neighbors tend to be. Crom is known to have stubborn, unforgiving leaders, Lord Nidosh is no exception. Telgar is generally the cleverer of the two and more charismatic, though by no means stronger. Both Holds are sending smaller tithes than is proper lately. The Weyrleaders will soon have to set them straight.
In Turn 1056 the illnesses that swept Pern the previous turns have been gone for over a Turn with no sign of coming back. However recent reports indicate strange weather patterns. Dust storms in the High Reaches have been increasingly noted. Is Thread on its way? The Red Star has been seen through the Eye Rock. The Weyrs prepare for war...war on Thread.
