Suwert walked down the hall toward Enald's office, Black padding next to him. He had received word this morning and need to to let the holder know. It wasn't unexpected. Though how he was going to respond, he wasn't sure.
WHen he reached the door, he knocked on it with his cane before opening it enough to see if anyone was in. He said, in his normal soft volume. "It's Suwert."

"Come in!" Enald called when he heard the knock at his door. He was dressed casually, in a rather flattering brown outfit obviously meant for the indoors. It had short sleeves so that they wouldn't get ink splattered on the sleeves, and were soft and comfortable. Exactly what Enald wanted while working on preparations for Kimlye's Naming Day Gather.
Working on paper work when your left hand was tweaking out wasn't painful, but it was irritating.
Thankfully Enald had a leash on his emotions that many would envy. He glanced up, blue eyes taking in Suwert.
"Hello Cousin." The Lord Holder said pleasantly. "How may I help you?"

Suwert enters the office, motioning for Black to lay down just inside the door. He moves over to near the desk so that he could be heard clearly. "Got a message from the Healer Hall." He winces slightly and sits down. "Sorry leg being a pain today."
"But as I was saying, got a message today. They are posting me to the main hall for further lessons there. They don't indicate how long that will be. I figured I would let you know. Was expecting this sometime soon. I can't finish all my training here if I am to make journeyman rank."

Enald nodded slowly, obviously thinking about something. Before responding to Suwert(not even giving him a look for sitting down without permission- they were cousins after all), he pulled out a sheet of hide. He quickly wrote a note, requesting formally another Journeyman Healer for Telgar. They did not need another outbreak of the sickness: both times had hit them harder than could be expressed.
"I expected this would happen soon." Enald confided slowly, passing the note over to Suwert. "Give this to a Master Healer when you arrive. We'll need another Healer to take your place."
Enald lapsed into thought again. He really didn't like talking, and it was nice to be with someone who didn't chatter. His right hand reached up to massage his left ear, as was becoming a habit.
"Do you need anything before you leave?" No cousin of his would venture forth without adequate clothing, or training. Or tools for that matter.

Suwert nods as he takes the note and places it in a pouch on his belt. Probably a request for a replacement, knowing his cousin. They should send someone soon enough.
"I will need to take the runner I usualy use. And will keep it at the hall if you don't object. We are use to each other and I would rather not have to break in another runner with everything else I am likely to be doing."

"Consider the runner a going away present then." Enald said, making a note to himself to tell a steward to alert the stables to his action. It wasn't as though they had enough people for a shortage of runners to be a problem. Not for a while yet. A long while. As it was, at least he was breeding.
Perhaps an incentive for couples to get married for the next few turns? It would lead to a baby boom, which would be helpful, even if it take turns for the population to even be consider normal. However, having a population surplus would be a good safeguard. He'd discuss it with Lesh later. She'd be angry if he implemented it without talking to her, and he didn't want to make her angry.
"Do you need anything else?" Enald questioned, his voice firm. "Don't fear to tell me. I'm the closest family you have, and I won't have anyone impugning on the honor of Telgar." That was probably the most he'd spoken all morning. Naturally, it was about duty.

Suwert shakes his head. "I have everything else I need. Or will be able to get it at the Hall. And thank you for the runner." He looks around the room and nods to himself. "Will try to make it back for the celebration if I can arragne a ride. If not, will make sure to send a gift of some sort."
Just like him to focus on telgar's honor. Probably wouldn't do to mention exactly how might be making it back. Oh, the two of them might actualy get along but no need to make a mess when can avoid one.

Enald nodded. Well, that was settled, even to his own father's satisfaction.
"We've never been close." Enald said, after some thought. "But I would be honored if you would dine with me and my wife later this evening. I'd like to speak with you in a more conginenal settings." Enald smiled.
"Becoming a Journeyman will take years, perhaps." Enald said. "I'd like it if we could have one family dinner before you leave us for good."
Enald chuckled. "But you can make up your mind later." He nodded towards the door. "I have a good deal of work now, but I will talk to you later." It was clearly a dismissal, and Enald quickly settled back into his hides, not having any reason to believe Suwert wouldn't leave. Being Lord Holder had a few perks.

Suwert stands. "I will join you." He then leaves to go pack what little he was planning on taking with him.
He hoped it wouldn't take turns to make journeyman. He doudted it. He had most of the turns of lessons behind him. He just needed a few more lessons and then to past the tests.
