10th Pass Pern - Crystal Waters Weyr

HISTORY of OUR PERN
The Ninth Pass ended with the Red Star being pushed out of its orbit. This made such a difference in the world, all thought Thread would no longer fall. All save the scattered few dragonriders who staunchly believed it would come again. Two Weyrs stood out in this, Crystal Waters Weyr and White Sands Weyr.
However, with the decline of Thread, and the long Interval coupled with the Red Star being pushed out of orbit, Thread did not return. Dragons declined, the metallics becoming more and more scarce until it was just a handful of golds and browns left, those few golds lived at the isolated White Sands Weyr. They were forced to share their scant clutches, but soon it was becoming increasingly clear the dragons would die out completely if more golds were not hatched.
No one seemed to care for the most part, for the dragonriders were fifth wheels with no Thread to stop. The belief at Crystal Waters Weyr was revived by a strange visitor who crashed into their midst, bringing with him news about Thread falling. He claimed to be from the future and fore told of dragons rising to fight Thread again. How they must prepare for it now before it was too late. Still the Weyrs hesitated, for though this bronze dragonrider from the future had scars that appeared to be Threadscore, he had no distinct memory of where or (more importantly) when he came from. Those who believed began to doubt, and Crystal Waters fell to the malaise of uncertainty.
When the Thread began to fall and the land was wrought with destruction for want of enough dragons. It was Great Cliffs Weyr that took action... had it not been for the riders they brought forward, all of Pern might have been left to be defended by but one fighting Weyr.
CRYSTAL WATERS WEYR
Now that Thread has returned, Crystal Waters Weyr, as with others, have begun to flourish, thanks to the gifts from the past at Great Cliffs Weyr. With the population of dragons in a major upswing, things seem to be looking up, in spite of Threadfall.
However, inexplicable nightly disappearances have been beginning. Not only that, but more and more often, people are stumbling upon Thread-infested grounds. Could this be the result of the recently reimposed Shunned? Or how about just 'regular' Holdless Renegades? Or is it what the Weyrleaders of Crystal Waters are truly fearing -- Night Thread.

Administration:
Weyrwoman Thaira
White Rider An'zell
We are a semi-cannon Weyr located midway between High Reaches (which has collapsed, due to the work of Renegades and Outlaws) and Tillek Hold. We have one White Dragon, and until well after that dragon is gone and dead, we will only have that one white dragon. There will be no other sport dragons.
We are based in tenth pass Pern and are directly associated with two other websites, which contain three Weyrs within them. Great Cliffs Weyr, Crashing Seas Weyr (roleplayed at Great Cliffs) and White Sands Weyr.
Many positions are available, as this is our major Grand-Reopening.
Positions available include Bronze Riders, Wher Handlers, Wing Leaders, Wing Seconds, Headwoman of Weyr and Holds, Master Crafters, and much more.
