Name:
T’keal
Age:
32(1023)
Gender:
Male- very much male
Rank:
Brownrider
Family:
Parents:
T’kay(Father, rider of a Blue). A older man, reaching the twilight years of his life, he’s mellow and easy going. He’s never been much of a father, but he has made records of all of his children- just so that interbreeding never happens.
Kadria(Mother, Kitchen Worker). A tall woman, with a kindly face, and just a little more weight on her bones than the average woman at Igen, she’s the kind of woman you’d go to for a chat about anything. She tends to be easy going, and loves children. She’s getting older, and gets pain in her hands.
Numerous sibs, and half-sibs. T’keal is close to none of them.
Children:
Lakeal(Son, 13, Candidate)
Kilekia(Daughter, 9, Weyrbrat)
Temek(Son, 7, Weyrbrat)
Keafro(Son, 5, Weyrbrat)
Taquib(Son, 3, Weyrbrat)
Eiala(Daughter, 2, Weyrbrat)
Appearance:
Six foot tall, build like a brick(220 lb.), and even mildly flexible, T’keal is a manly man. He fits the stereotypical look of a Brownrider, with rugged good looks, very short dark brown hair, brown eyes, and tanned brown skin, with the occasional small, mostly superficial, scar. His eyelashes a little to long, but his propionate nose balances that out, as does his stubborn chin. His face, if it not shaved every three days turns into a mess.
Tending to wear his rider leathers at all times, his few gather clothes are in wonderful condition- his leathers, however, are not. Liking to cross, and uncross, his arms constantly, the arms of his jackets wear out quickly, as do the seats of his pants. Well known by the various Weyr weavers, T’keal’s clothing does get replaced on a bi-turn basis, even when it means calling in favors. Though not the most attractive man out there, T’keal tries to offset that by being at least mildly well dressed at all times.
Personality:
Sturdy and dependable. His promise is something that can be counted on- not that he doesn’t lie, but if he promises to do something it will be done. Always one to hold some ambition, he’s not quite sure about how to raise himself in the ranks. He’d like be become a Wingsecond or Third, but until he figures out how to impress the Rankers, T’keal will be stuck in Wingrider oblivion.
He’s not really good with the ladies, but he’s passable enough. His brown tends to have a lot more luck. The man has a slight weakness for sweet things, and his klah says a lot about that sweet tooth of his. Bigger groups are better in his opinion, thought small gathering have their place too. His weyr is known for constant informal gatherings. T’keal doesn’t tend to micromanage anything, believing that with good enough instructions, anyone, can do anything, without him breathing over their necks.
T’keal has a very high tolerance for wine, or any other alcohol. He also tends to be good with children- something that most people do not know(And not something he’ll ever spread about). He’s good with names, and faces, but that skill doesn’t extend into Threadfall wing positions(Sadly enough). He also says that he is Hetero and Flight bisexual only, but their have been rumors.
History:
Weyrborn, T’keal has always known what was going to happen in his life. He was going to Impress(Blue, Brown, Bronze, or if he was desperate, Green), he was going to fly in a Wing, he was going to have a beautiful Weyrmate, and he was going to live a full life, and have tons of children.
Most of his dream came true- at age fifteen, after three years of fruitless standing T’keal Impressed a Brown dragon by the name of Fadreith. He moved on from a candidacy filled with friends and pranks, to a Weyrlinghood filled with friends and hard work- all worth it of course. A few years later, he moved onto Adult riding, leaving a Weyrling Master who wouldn’t remember him, and moving into a Wing where he was similarly forgotten.
Not all about these first few years was a waste- he fathered a son, fell in love with a woman who cared less than nothing about him, and began working to be remembered in his wing so he could become a Wingsecond. He and his lazy brown were often working harder than they had since the first month of Weyrlinghood and even so they weren’t moving up in the ranks. It sucked. Venting his frustration sexually, his first daughter was born. Then, a few years later, another son. If it hadn’t been for his parties, the brownrider would have gone insane from the strain- riding, drills, being expected to be responsible, and getting none of the perks of rank would have gotten to him, and turned him prematurely gray.
About a turn ago, the strain steadily became worse. He’d been a rider for sixteen turns, and brownrider even, and he hasn’t even a position as a Wingthird. Nor did he have much of a family life. Finally, driven desperate, he requested a Transfer from Kyzyl, into a different wing, claiming relationship problems(as in a Greenrider was harrassing him, and he wanted into a different wing).
He’s only been in Borrego a month or so, but already he’s made some changes- a lot more sucking up, and a lot more assertiveness. He’ll have his rank... or else.
Alas, things always seem to get in the way of T’keal’s dreams. This particular time in order to realize his dreams, T’keal would get around death. Since that’s not going to happen, we shall have to hope that T’keal’s children will have better lives than he ever did.
After all, it’s so very humiliating to die after loosing a duel, and falling off the ledge of your weyr. And it’s something that only T’keal would ever do.
Rest in peace, dear Brownrider. You deserve all the peace you can get.

Dragon Info:[/u]
Name:
Fadreith
Age:
17
Color:
Brown
Appearance:
Light brown, with darker speckles- some, naturally occurring, others rider nor dragon know where the scars are from.. He’s lightly peppered with those scars, but none threaten his mobility. He’s not a large brown, average size for a brown, and built for stamina, not speed. His wedge shaped head is almost heavyset, as is the rest of his body, almost making him look chubby.
Personality:
Lazy is a keyword in in Fadreith’s personality. He’d rather be an unRanked dragon, because ranking requires effort and care- something Fadreith, who likes sunning over bathing, would rather not expend energy on. The only reason that he doesn’t fight with his rider about it, is because since he was just hatched, T’keal has been claiming it was a good thing.
He likes Flights, but prefers flirting to actual Flights, because flirting can be done while sunning, and not moving. He dislikes drills, and isn’t quite sure why he even bothers with them.
History:
Hatching from his green and yellow egg, the dragon quickly rolled into a ball, resembling briefly a roly-poly. Finally, after a minute, the brown seemed to decided it was safe to come out. Making a slow beeline for a boy, when he arrived the brown paused in front of him confused. Something about the boy was wrong somehow. The wrongness was explained when a Blue appeared, and boy called out something, and raced toward the blue, then left.
Now the brown was truly confused- if that boy was wrong, then where was the right boy, and why was his middle distracting from his finding of the right boy? The brown ambled around for a minute, before feeling a tug, just as he had before, with the wrong boy. Following the feeling steadily, he finally found the source- the right boy.
T’keal! The little brown called happily. Will you make Fadreith’s problems go away now?
Hatching was probably one of the only times that Fadreith excised and didn’t complain. His middle was taken care of, and he was scrubbed, and put to sleep, and his T’keal went off to have fun, and he slept it off. Thus began the rest of his life.
He’s spend sixteen years perfecting how to use the least energy while eating food, and attempting to catch Greens. Those are his two biggest accomplishments(in his eyes). He’s also found that eavesdropping on humans can be entertaining, though his Rider isn’t always interested in what he picks up.
