B'rek woke late, for once. He had the day off which was also a rare occassion. The Wingleader told him to take a sick day. Apparently he'd been working too hard lately. B'rek didn't think that he had been but maybe it was because he was avoiding working on other things. Gavanth too, woke late, happy to be able to doze on his ledge.
He slung his legs off the bed first and then his body followed. Shards and shells, its going to be hot today! B'rek, as was usual when her slept, was wearing absolutely nothing. Of course he wasn't going to remain that way but it was nice to stretch and enjoy being free of clothing from time to time.
Glancing around his weyr, memories of the night before came flooding back to him. He had been drinking. Nali was there. Things sort of went black and now he was awake. Oi, no doubt he had had a lot of fun last night but today his head was pounding. He walked over to his pitcher of water and filled a cup. Just what he needed, to feel like crap on a sick day. If he was going to feel this bad, he might as well be working!
Sipping his water, he looked over at his sleeping Bronze. The dragon seemed completely fine. Must be nice to be a dragon. No real worries or concerns and when you took a sick day, no hangovers.

Nali came in, just dressed from a bath off the weyr. Her black hair was pulled up into a ponytail and a little damp; she smiled to see B'rek awake. She came up behind him and tenderly wrapped her arms around his waist and leaned against his back. He was good to her, and good looking, she said with a laugh, "Good morning, lover."
She remembered things too. It was a most excellent evening. They haven't even had a spat, either. Nali was very sure she loved him, all of him. Of course, the upcoming flight of Saharth, as they were whispering it was close to the gold's time, made her slightly nervous. She wondered if he would fly after her. And by 'him' and 'her' she meant B'rek and Jenafa. She looked at the bronze dragon and smiled brighter, "Gavanth is looking well today."

Arms slid around him, beautiful arms that belonged to an even lovlier woman. "It is indeed, my heart." He leaned back a little and turned his head to kiss her cheek. B'rek could think of a number of things that made this a good morning. She was definately in the top two. One was always Gavanth.
"I see you've had a bath. It would have been more fun if you had waited for me." Of course had she waited for him they might never have gotten out of bed and no doubt she had to work today. He had better ask to be sure. "Do you have to work today?"
B'rek wanted her to say no. Even if she did have to, he was going to do all he could to make her stay with him. It was his day of rest and relaxation. Wouldn't be as fulfilling without her there. As she mentioned Gavanth he grinned. "He was happy to sleep in as well. Though I swear he's trying to watch drills from here."
