Arriving out of Between, Torenth circled a bit before deciding that landing in the shallows was his best bed. Angling downward, the Bronze landed as daintily as he could(though not as good as a green), and stepped carefully onto the beach. It was too small to really allow much space for the Bronze, but he managed to be completely on dry land before having to stop.
R'net jumped down, offering help for Venaru and her luggage. Once they were settled on steady ground, he was off with Tor, removing the harness from the muddy-bronze, and lugging it over to the safe dry ground.
After that was safely stored, he returned to his guest, and smiled brightly. The beach was privet, and probably was never seen by anyone but Dragonriders.
"What do you think?"

"Absolutely gorgeous, I've never been to a place quite like it." Venaru said softly, looking around and taking it all in. If this is what seeing a dragonrider means, I'm all for it. She thought to herself, and then grinned at the idea. She wanted a commitment, and knew that it was hard to expect from a rider, but a girl could dream, right? She supposed a bronzerider might be more faithful than a bluerider, or a greenrider, since they had more flights and more partners, they might like that spice to life. Maybe she was just being foolish. Things at the Weyr, she knew, were very different from a Hold, she was not that deluded to think things could change. Maybe she was foolish to think that she could be in a commited relationship at the Weyr. It was a hold ideal that she had clung too, even though she was searched a few turns back.
She watched the bronze, no matter how 'unappealing' his color was, there was a sort of awe she had for dragons in general. Though she was past her candidacy prime. She set down her basket of food. "Do you come here often then? You're not too busy with wing duties or anything?"

"As a rule, I try to make sure me and Torenth get down time. I don't plan on ending up in early retirement, or with heart strain. Taking time off, and bribing the Watchdragon to 'forget' where we went is part of the fun of being a dragonrider."
He smirked lightly at the thought of his bimonthly escapes(and escapades), that occurred all over Pern. While it was always good manners to learn the name of the Rankers of the Weyr you were beholden too, R'net knew he was well known, and for the most part, well liked. The extra marks a Wingsecond made just helped him become that much more of a welcome visitor. It was also why he knew such interesting stories of Pern.
"Care to go swimming?" He asked, aware that swimming was probably the best reason to come to this beach.

"I'd love to swim." It wasn't everyday that Venaru got time to swim in the lake, let alone on a gorgeous beach with an equally handsome bronzerider. She smiled charmingly at him and took off her skirt, glad she wasn't wearing a one piece dress. She left her long top on and discarded the skirt, wading out in the surf. The little waves lapped against her ankles and kicked the warm water about, venturing deeper. She looked over her shoulder to R'net, "It's nice."

R'net shucked most of his clothes off, only covering the important part of his body. Thankfully it was still warm enough for R'net to be able to function with that little covering- it was as pain to have clothes dry out, not matter where they were on Pern. Leaving the clothes in a neat pile, the man followed Venaru into the shallows of the beach. The water was warm, clear, and seemed to be dancing to it's own rhythm, and R'net enjoyed that. Honestly, if he'd been an unattached rider- one who had no family at any Weyr, he probably would have transferred to Ista- the ocean was something he always enjoyed.
"It's beautiful." R'net said, an easy smile on his face. "The ocean is an addiction that many suffer from." He looked out onto the horizon where the ocean met the sky, and looking wishful. "Be careful- there are some sharp rocks out here."

"It is very beautiful. I bet sunsets are divine. If I were from a costal hold, I might have stayed there for the ocean. I imagine it would be quite a love affair." Venaru concurred. She sighed, the water was azure, maybe more teal, and clear. The sun was out and bright, and Venaru couldn't have asked for a better day. She had heard about the sharp rocks, but didn't say anything. She'd be careful, she was usually careful nowadays. The young woman looked at R'net and winked before she kicked up some water at him. She was sort of in a playful mood. She grinned and skitted away from him, knowing that R'net would probably try to splash her back.

R'net did indeed splash her back, a sort of predatory grin gracing his face. Always one to be courteous, the wingsecond feel the need to ask a few questions first.
"How well can you swim?" R'net asked, as he moved toward her. He'd keep it in the shallows mostly if she wasn't a strong swimmer- but this splash fight might head out to deeper waters if Venaru claimed to be a strong swimmer.
Then, hardly waiting for a reply, he splashed her back, and then danced out of the way.

Venaru laughed, enjoying herself, and then chased after him. "I'm fair, good enough for being from an inland hold. I've never been to any body of water larger than. . ." She made and effort to splash at him, "the Weyr's lake. Get back here!" She laughed and struggled a bit to run in the water. The young woman had not laughed this much since she was back at home, with her father and brother, back when she was carefree and younger.
She slipped and fell with a full body splash. She looked surprized for a moment, spit out some water, and giggled then. "I didn't expect the ocean to be salty. I mean, I heard it all before, I just didn't expect it."
