Leshya had slept fairly soundly once she got to sleep that night. Though things were by no means perfect, the fact that Enald had been understanding and given her the comfort she needed to sleep after so hard a day.
When morning came, Leshya did not want to wake up. Another day of facing the sickness that was wracking the Hold was just almost unbearable. Though she not only knew her duty but that the parents and families who had sick little ones were suffering a lot more than she was. No matter how tired she was, Leshya would not shirk her duties. However, she did, very much so, long for things to return to normal, to work beside her husband and help him in the general running of the Hold. While he may not admit it, Leshya knew he was working longer since he was short one person to assist him.
She looked over at her husband and smiled a bit. Soon she'd be back to working with him, assisting in running the Hold. And right now, she was very much so needed to help with the sick. She knew it was important and essential.
Leshya took a deep breath and sat up, reluctantly getting the day started. She slowly turned to stand, but as soon as she did, her stomach protested. Her hand raised to her mouth and she moved off to the bathing area of their suite, reaching the chamber pot before violently and loudly retching up everything that had ever been on her stomach.

Enald had only begun waking up when a loud noise drove him to full awakeness. Lesh was puking into the chamber pot- Enald felt sorry for the maid who would need to clean that up. Still not reacting to the crisis at hands, Enald tried thinking of a reason she might be throwing up.
It could be that she'd gotten sick- either from exposure or from crying last night. It could be that she was having morning sickness- though he wouldn't comment on that. The last thing she would need is the stress of wondering it she was causing another miscarrage.
Realizing that simply sitting and pondering his wife's perdicament wasn't going to win him any points, the young lord threw the bedcovers off of him, and jogged over to the poor woman, and attempted to keep her hair out of her face.

Lesh was thankful for her husband's presence and his taking over the war of her hair. Shortly after he came in she finishe and with a whimper leaned back into him. Though that did not last long... her mouth tasted just ugh...
She shot him an apologetic look and moved quickly to pour herself a cup of water. Swishing the first couple of mouthfuls and spitting them out. Only then did she drink. She'd grab some mint to chew as soon as she got her hands on some, but at least most of the uckiness was gone from her mouth now.
Lesh then turned to look towards her husband, but she did not speak yet, doing some mental calculation. When had been the last time? Her eyes widened as she realized what that meant and her hand dropped to her stomach.
"Enald. I think I'm pregnant." Her expression was one of shock, as she was still taking that in.

"It's very probable." Enald agreed serenly. "I don't suppose you want to have another check up sometime this month- after the sickness trails off, but soon, no?"
He smiled sweetly at his wife, and opened his arms- she deserved a hug(If not more, but he did have things to look after. He wasn't going to let his hold run into chaos, child or not.
Those thoughs didn't touch his eyes, which were shining brightly. It was a bit brisk, his normal, uneffected mind was telling him, and he decided to wear an extra layer without consiously deciding to do so. All of his mind was focused on his wife, and her wonderful news.

Leshya nodded, "I don't want to share the news until we're sure, Enald." She moved more than willingly into her husband's arms, resting her head against his chest. Leshya would have kissed Enald, but her mouth still tasted bad to her, she did not need to share that with him.
She held tightly too him, absolutely elated that she had finally gotten pregnant. But there was a tiny bit of her that was scared. She closed her eyes and shook her head ever so slightly against his chest, taking a deep breath.
"Enald..." She paused, not sure how to say what she was thinking. "Enald... I'm not going to lose this baby am I? I... I don't think I could handle that." She turned her face up to look at him.

"No, you won't. If this one's strong enough to mess up your iron stomach, then it's strong enough to survive." It was quite a long sentance for Enald, and he glanced down at the top of his wife's head, trying to think of something more to add to it- to either reassure her, or to keep her from worrying about having a baby too much. And then a thought struck him.
"So, I suppose you'll be wanting to share this news with my father?" Enald asked. Either that, or she'd make him do it, but one of them had to. Leaving the old Lord out of the loop was the worst possible thing to do- not if one wanted to ever hear the end of it. And in any case, she'd probably want to tell him- the old lord had always had been a burr in Leshya's side. It would be good for her to have some time with her when he wasn't complaining.

She chuckled softly at her husband's reassurance. He had a point. If she had previously been pregnant and lost the child - something the Healer suspected but said he could not be sure of, she had nver even known that she was pregnant. This time, this time she knew. Hopefully that was a good sign - it had to be.
Leshya grimaced at the thought of her father-in-law, though she had gone back to resting against her husband's chest. Hopefully he didn't see her expression. "I want to be sure, first, Enald. Even before we tell your father. I don't want to say anything if we're wrong." She smiled up to him, "Though once we're sure, yes... yes, I want to tell him, together, please."
Leshya snuggled against her husband. She had to admit that she did not want to go to the lower levels to help with the sick ones this morning. And she did not want her husband to go to the office and deal with Hold business this morning. She knew she had to and he had to, but she wanted to be allowed to just enjoy the good news and celebrate quietly with her husband. A sigh against his chest was the only sign of her wish for it to be different.

"Alright." Enald said softly, holding Lesh as close, and didn't say another word. It was her body, and her choice when it came right down to it. She could tell, or not tell, anyone and everyone. Enald rarely forced her to do anything, and he wasn't about to start with her baby(their baby).
There is something timeless about holding someone, Enald thought distantly, as his hand rubbed a comforting circle on her back. The way the world stands still, even if the rest of everyone bustled about, carrying about in their daily tasks, even as someone else was achiving immortailty in there own way.
It was a confusing thought, and Enald pushed it away, and replaced it with the need to ask the dragonriders to fly them straight to the hatching- since Betweening could be harmful to Leshya in the state that she was in.
