N'zule nodded curtly. "Well, I'll take you on your word." And if Rory broke his word, well that would be dealt with later. Right now he needed to leave before his control broke and he did something stupid.
What that stupid thing was, N'zule wasn't sure. But he was rather angry that Rory managed to still look attractive even after(and during) all of this. Sharding drudge.
"And if there isn't any reason for me to stay, I'll be taking my leave now." N'zule stood up and stretched, sore from stiffened muscles, and trying not to move. Feeling better he moved to the door, careful not to touch Rory.
"Goodbye." He called over his shoulder, determined to treat Rory with at least a little respect.

It seemed that N'zule wasn't as mad as he could have been. This would be the first time he had ever seen the greenrider control his emotions. "Yes, of course..." Rory had no reason for him to stay because the only reasons he could think of wouldn't be legitimate or the greenrider wouldn't appreciate them.
Time would hopefully help Rory with N'zule. Faranth knew he would never love anyone like this again. "Say hi to Delith for me and give her a good scratch." Thank the Egg that she wasn't proddy right now or this meeting could have gone very differently.
" Oh and, I was thinking if Nisha wants to look at some baby things for the baby's room, you are welcome to come along. Make sure we don't forget anything important." Yes he was feeding N'zule's ego by suggesting he was smarter than Rory and Nisha but that couldn't hurt this situation.

N'zule responded to all of Rory's comments with a simple grunt. He didn't really want to acknowledge any of it at all, but he was still trying to make an effort to make things run smooth.
He really was.
He also really needed a stiff drink. Closing the door carefully behind him- he didn't want to be accused of slamming the door, N'zule strode away.
A stiff drink was really just the thing. And he knew just where to get a good one.
Fin.
