Though Amneris tried to remain composed, she blushed. Beautiful? Neris had never thought herself that pretty. She had always been the tall thin girl without a figure. Even if that was beginning to change a little, she had no doubt that her body would always be thin. Jeyna was more attractive than Amneris ever thought herself to be. The young blonde had never thought that looks were a strong point for her.
"Oh, no. The Weyrlingmaster makes certain we do not. He is concerned more with the people who seem to be overexerting themselves. I'm not one of those people. Can't expect me to lift more than I'm told to..." Amneris wasn't a very physically fit person, yet. No doubt she would be when training was over.
"Yes, bubbly pies are perfect." Amneris said, noting that the bluerider was smiling more now. That was good. She hoped she had done something to make Jeyna happier than she was before. The bluerider was much too hard on herself.

Jeyna smiled warmly seeing Amneris blush. There was something about her blushing that made her even more attractive to the Blue Rider. In fact, it was everything that Jeyna could do not to reach out and stroke her blushing cheekbones, and that very thought kind of surprised the Blue and she shook her head ever so slightly. She'd definitely need to go running after they finished eating.
For the moment, Jeyna focused on what Amneris had said, "Yeah, exercising when you don't want to can be... unpleasant. You know, its not so bad if you're having fun. It might not help with building arm muscles, but you're welcome to run with me in the mornings if you want."
Jeyna was distracted. For now, that'd be enough. She wouldn't be any better truly until Ragoth was. And she only knew one solution for that. She'd be paying close attention to any proddy Greens.

Though she was focusing on what was being said, she also noticed the way Jeyna had been looking at her. She wouldn't do or say anything about it. She couldn't really. Being a Weyrling wasn't the problem here either. Amneris didn't understand the emotions that were plaguing her.
"Its more like a punishment than a lesson." Amneris said in agreement. She wasn't fond of physical work, that was no suprise. The Weyrlingmaster could tell she wasn't by her physique. "That could be fun. I don't know if I'll be able to keep pace with you though." The fact was Jeyna had been running most of her life and AMneris had been sitting in the shade playing a guitar.
You should. Your always up before me. The little green was working out a way to get to sleep in longer. Truth be told she was a little lazy. I can give it a try. She didn't know what sort of running Jeyna would be doing.Shells, it was worth a try. Building her endurance would be helpful.

Jeyna smiled, "I would be rather cruel if I invited you to a run and ran on ahead, now wouldn't I? I can moderate my pace. Beside, long distance running isn't about bursts of speed, but rather about pacing yourself." She led her back to the table to eat their desserts.
Jeyna sat down and picked at her bubbly pie. She might be distracted from the depressed dragon in her mind, but that did not mean that he was not there, and that he was not affecting her appetite. "Don't feel like you have to. Not everyone is a morning person, and I get up pretty early to go running. But if you're there, I'd be glad to have you run with me."
Mine? You are coming back soon, yes?
Soon, Ragoth. I'll be there. Can I finish eating?
Of course.
"I'm afraid I'm going to have go after we finish. Ragoth is pretty upset."

"Too true." Amneris answered. It would be the same if she invited someone to play music with her but then went about showing the other person up the whole time. It wasn't a nice thing to do. Labeth would agree about that, she wasn't a morning person. Amneris wasn't a time person.
"I wouldn't worry about that. I don't sleep much." Amneris was serious about that. About four hours and she was wide awake and raring to go. She was out late and up early. Her body just seemed to be used to the sleep she was getting. It must be nice to sleep in though, she thought absently.
Amneris ate her pie with vigor. She was always hungry of late and even after eating enough for a couple of people, she was still eating. Lucky for her the Weyrlingmaster was working it all out of her. "I understand. Say hi to him from Labeth and I. She did ask to meet him. I think she's curious."

"I'll look for you in the morning then." Even picking at bubbly pies, they weren't that big and tended to be finished fairly quickly. She smiled warmly to her and then stood, "Thanks for eating with me, 'Neris. And for distracting me."
She grinned, "I think Ragoth would like that too. Bring her by sometime when you have free time. You might want to wait a day or two though, so he can cheer up some."
"And thank you for your concern, yours and Labeth's." Jeyna smiled warmly again and then turned to jog back to the weyr and the depressed Blue.
