Who is your Favorite Pernese Character?

Ok, we all know how much we adore Anne's world of Pern, which is laced with too many fascinating characters to even name.

So, who is your favorite character from the Pern novels? Pick anyone from any of the books, and let us know why you favor them. ^-^ I shall start.

My favorite character is F'lar. ((I know, sooooo cliche)) I think he is so awesome, especially how he is always so cool and mocking, even in hot situations. He can certainly handle himself in battle, and he becomes Weyrleader and saves all of Pern with only one weyr of riders and a whole planet to protect from Fall. He is sharp and quick, too. He is a good Wingleader, with loyal and disciplined riders. He himself is a very disciplined man. Yay F'lar! <3

Wow, its impossible to pick just one!

Its really impossible for me to pick just one, so of the many possibilities in my head I'll mention Robinton.

I pick him mainly because I remember how much I cried when died. I loved Robinton!

I loved how he supported F'lar and Lessa even when no one else (well, few othes) did.

I loved how much he cared for the people of Pern.

I even loved how he knew when it was his time (as much as it made me cry).

So for now, I pick Robinton.

Because she was f**king awesome! I mean she practically saved Pern single handedly. (exaggeration... perhaps) She had a great sense of humor and she seemed so very human. Unlike F'lar and Lessa I got the feeling she had actually lived a life that was not always good or bad but just as life normally is, somewhere inbetween. She was a true Weyrwoman in my eyes. Her choices were made for Pern and the Weyr. She was a Weyrwoman who cared more about duty than herself. She cared more for Pern than her own life. Even more importantly, she cared more for Pern than she cared for her dragon's life. Many people will probably say she was weak... but I think the opposite. Anyway, I am always a sucker for a Martyr.

Also.... F'nor. He was pretty chill- until he took up with Brekke...

F'nor was cool, yea, until Brekke came along. Then he was all slobbering over her.

Robinton was really awesome, too. You have to love how he was so smooth and bent everything his way with just some words.
