Sh'dan came into the weyrhall, laughing his head off. He'd pulled a good prank on that Pyralis wing, nothing that they didn't deserve, and really funny. The second foot wouldn't fall until the next morning, when they arose from their furs itchy and supremely uncomfortable around the genitalia, and that thought made Sh'dan laugh even harder.
It was midafternoon, and a fairly warm day out, so the weyrhall was mostly empty. And cool. Sh'dan wasn't really a fan of warm weather, and he liked the cool, deep caverns that encased the weyr. He wandered about the weyrhall, gathering various food items and decided on a good chair at the Zahra table that would allow him to observe incomers.

Elisha had been working on something and had missed lunch so she was walking through the tables, not really wanting to sit by herself. She had plenty of time to be by herself and think at night, so why eat like that too? She'd only be allowing herself to live in the past and she need something, or someone, to distract her. Elisha had just asked for some roast heard beast and just a little wine. While it was getting ready, Elisha tried to scope out a place to sit. The High table was empty, so she looked for some where else. There was a rider sitting by himself. A wingsecond at that.
He rides Bronze Kendith.
Sh'dan. Elisha tried to get to know the names of the bronzeriders at least. While she might not have put name to face, she usually could match bronze to rider. The Weyrwoman strode over, and smiled kindly, motioning to the seat across from him, "Is this seat taken?" She didn't think it was, since most of the room was empty, and who would deny a queenrider the place that she chose?

Sh'dan looke up into the eyes of the Weyrwoman. "Not at all, Weyrwoman Elisha, and if it was, the occupier would give up his chair accordingly." He winked at her, more than a bit audaciously, but such was his way. He was a bit of a shameless flirt. "Please, join me?" He gestured to the chair.
You are horrible. Kendith chuckled in his head.
I know. The bronzerider smiled to the unheard words. "How fare ye today, Goldrider?"

Surprizingly, Elisha wasn't turned off by the wink, she found herself wanting almost more. She was a little vulnerable, very emotional lately, and ready to talk to a bronzerider with a sense of humor. Plus, Sh'dan was good looking. "I would leave it to you then to kick the said occupier out." She smiled at him and sat down, "And I'd love to join you."
The queenrider looked at him, sure that there was some interaction between dragon and rider, and slightly curious to know what it was. She was always curious to know what went on between dragon and rider, and yet the privacy of such conversations between she and Adeloth was something she held dear. He had spoken to her, and she smiled, "I'm good, working, as usual. Thank goodness I have Marisol to help out. How are you, Sh'dan?"
She didn't want to use the formality of his title, the initial effort to do so died on her lips, and she just called him by name. He wouldn't mind anyway, she was the Weyrwoman, so why would he mind? Well even if he did, he wouldn't say anything. And she was sure she had people saying things about how she sent away D'rian and his Deluth for displeasing her, she though sourly. Some riders were unusually nice recently. Like Marisol's brat, R'net. Why was he so keen on helping her out? Did he feel bad for her? She hoped not, she didn't want his pity. But Sh'dan just seemed friendly by nature. He couldn't be so bad. "So how are things going for you? Did you have a hard wing practice today?"
