"I'll do as I please." Rory replied defiantly. He wasn't someone N'zule could step all over anymore. "You have no power over me." The drudge was done. So done, with people telling him what he could and couldn't do. He'd disrespect a dragonrider if he sharding wanted to. His face wore what he was feeling, as it rarely did.
Eyebrow quirked, "Coward?" Rory was not weak, he could definately fight with N'zule, and win, if he so wished. He thought he was being merciful by not beating the other man to a pulp. He most likely would have to do Wing drills the next day, whereas Rory would be able to do his job without much issue.
"Think as you will N'zule. I'm not going to fight you any longer besides I believe that me beating you to the ground would be a devastating blow to your ego." The Rory that used to do what N'zule said was gone. He had found himself...again.

"You'll do just as you always have then." N'zule didn't sound as angry anymore- he still was- but it didn't look good for him or Delith if they continued to freak out while the other man remained unresponsive.
They were slaves to appearances at this time of the month.
"Drinking, sleeping with anything that moves, and then going to cry to your sister about it." N'zule's voice was deceptively soft, and sounded almost sweet.
"Well, I think I have better things to do with my time as well." The Greenrider turn away from the drudge, and started sauntering the opposite direction- he'd see Rory try to ignore that.

Rory was angered by N'zule's words, more so that the man thought so little of him. He was tired of trying to prove his worth to other people. For his sake he hoped N'zule met a rider with more rank and had the same happen to him. See how he would react to the position.
"You'd think that wouldn't you, because you have no idea what I'm doing." Rory had turned around watching N'zule walk away. The rider wasn't going to have the upper hand this time. "Everything is always about you!" He shouted annoyed that N'zule had to make this about how much better he was.
"If you ever think about anyone else its only to point out their faults. Well guess what you can take drinking off of your long list of my faults!" As for the other two things, he wouldn't even dignify such accusations with a remark.

The faltering step that N'zule made after Rory announced that wine was no longer one of his problems, wouldn't have been noticed by anyone outside of N'zule, Delith, N'zule's sons, and possibly Rory.
Really, N'zule thought, as he exited the hall in a huff, Rory couldn't honestly believe that he didn't have problem with wine- so unless he was completely off of it, there was no way it was leaving N'zule's mental list.
Making a mental note to ask Kerzule about it(His son would know if anything changed about Rory), that was, if the boy was over his huff, N'zule pushed it out of his mind. Delith would awaken soon enough, and he wanted to be with her- she never said cruel things to him.

Though N'zule took care to hide the affect that statement had on him, Rory saw his step falter, albeit slightly. Let him think that over, the drudge smiled to himself. Then frowned, as smiling hurt the edge of his mouth. He wasn't sure he could eat, his middle hurt so bad.
It wouldn't have been so painful but Rory wasn't all that great of a fighter and N'zule was a bit more fit than himself. Even as he thought to leave the Hall and skip food, his stomach grumbled. Looked like food was back on the menu. Rory went to get another tray and eat the lunch he had been about to consume earlier.
