Kanoni lay crouched, right outside of the wingleader's weyr. She was going to get him this time! He had been managing to evade almost all her tricks, but this time, she wouldn't let him get away. She'd always heard that she had to get up real early in the morning to prank the man, and she wasn't beyond that. The sun wasn't up yet.
She had rehearsed and planned this prank to the "t." Having done her research, she knew when he was likely to get up and when he was likely to come walking out of the weyr she was spying upon. The blonde girl grinned just thinking about it. It wasn't the most clever trick ever, but with all the unknown variables included in the situation, she had to do something cliche and simple. And this plan was it.
Kanoni grinned wider in anticipation of the "early shower" E'riol would receive before he went to go get breakfast. She was actually becoming a little careless and had to duck inside the wingleader's weyr's opening, which extended five feet into the rock before the frame for the door. The possible intruder walked on by, never aware that she had been there. "You got to be more careful, Kanoni," she chastised herself.
But half an hour later, she was loosing concern again, and completely clueless as to her surroundings. She should've known better.

Now, what did we have here? K'dyn smiled, secretly hoping that someone was up to no good. He spotted the blonde hanging about the entrance to E'riol's weyr. HAHAHA! It was that greenrider in their wing, the funny one. Ka... something. Kanoni. The Brown intruded on his thoughts. Right.
He was in his leathers as usual, looking forward to some wing drills. However, this looked like something he would not want to miss. He approached the rider, blowing her cover momentarily. "Not up to anything are we, Kanoni?"
He wasn't up to anything either. "He won't be out for another five minutes." He added, knowing the Wingleader's schedule as well as she. Why he hadn't thought of this yet was beyond him.

"Eeep!" Kanoni jumped, and then tensed, still on her belly on the floor. She'd been trying to look underneath E'riol's door to see if she could spot his feet coming, or maybe hear his footsteps. In doing so, she had completely missed the footsteps of one coming up behind her.
Just because you lay there frozen doesn't mean he can't see you, you know," Yanth told her sleepily.
Good point. She rolled over and sat up, and looked up.
K'dyn. He rides that very handsome brown, Ortath.
Thank you, and spare me the draconic commentary. She smiled. "Not at all, K'dyn. Just giving credit where credit is due, I'd say." Now grinning, "I'd say he deserves it, wouldn't you?" After all, it was really no use to be trying to hide her misdeed now; the bucket above the door with the twine leading to her hot little hand was a little more than obvious. "Five minutes, hmm? Well, have a few minutes for an entertaining moment?" She giggled mischievously. Rolling back over and resuming the spot on her stomach, she continued to wait for the wingleader. "Please, join me?"

"Definately, but we're going to have to ask him not to burn my bed. Once this turn is enough. I had to cheat quite a few other riders in a game of poker to get the marks for a new one." He grinned at this. E'riol deserved it. He pulled pranks on them all the time, not to mention he held some really early drills lately. It was time to give him something to take up some of his time. Coming up with pranks was antural for some but most people had to think on it a while.
"Alright." HE realized he treated Kanoni like one of his male wingmates. Not that she should eb treated differently but he didn't generally trust himself around women. Not enough to be friends with them. Afterall no one knew when the girl started to think romantically and such. Then he would be in for it. He sat down on the floor, soon lying on his stomach like her.
Quite right. Plenty of greens would want a flight from me. As you say, I don't think it would end too well and then I'd be in trouble. Females do try to ensnare us don't they? This one seems innocent enough. She's about to pull a prank on your wingleader, you call that innocent?Errr, right. Maybe another word... nope... they all lead back to the fact that she's trouble.

"He burned your bed?," she whispered, attempting again to view E'riol's footsteps. "Then he definitely deserves this." She almost let loose a giggle. While she had been jumping around moving, her long and somewhat fine blonde hair had managed to wriggle out of its ponytail. She balanced on her elbows and pulled it out completely, smoothed it back and put it back up in the leather holder. "Much better," she murmured. She turned to K'dyn. "Think he'll be angry?" she asked, grinning. She wasn't even thinking of K'dyn as anything other than another Zahra wingmember who was clever, tricky, and liked a good practical joke.
Two minutes remained, and she began to hear him shuffle around in his weyr. "Ooh, I think he's coming out soon," she said, still on her stomach. Her hand tautened the twine cord, and her eyes took on the naughty shine.

"Its a long story..." He added while she fixed her hair. "He deserves it more for those really early drills last week. It interrupted my usual rounds." He was sort of perturbed about that. Ruined his kitchen raiding and few spare moments he used to confuse and trick new people. The early morning was the best time to confuse drudges and such.
"He'll be angry enough." That was an understatement. This was nearly as good as his welcoming gift into the wing three turns ago. K'dyn would never forget all the pranks the wing made to newcomwers. "So long as we don't get caught, my new bed shall have nothing to fear." He spoke to reassure himself and also to make it known that they better make a run for it once she let go of her contraption.

"Those were unusually early drills, weren't they? Yanth was not at all pleased about getting up that early." She smiled at her companion. Kanoni remembered how unhappy she'd been, getting up that early as well. Breakfast never sat right on a stomach awake before mid-morning, she found, and she'd been getting up before the sun, for Faranth's sake! "Your routine?" she asked. "I'm guessing early morning breakfast doesn't do well in your gut either?"
He spoke next of not getting caught, and she quickly agreed. "Of course. We'll have to scoot our toots so he doesn't know who it was. That's why I'm wearing boots and not sandals." She grinned. "Actually, I plan to be all the way in the weyrbowl while he's doing naught but clearing the water from his eyes." She giggled viciously; this was fun!

((Huhuhu…..this will be fun.))
E’riol was always up early. The bronzerider had an internal timer like a rooster and never slept past sunrise. Except in the summer, of course, when the sun had the audacity to rise earlier than the rest of the year. Then he was up shortly after. Stretching as he came from the bathing room, towel around his bare shoulders, he stepped out on Caidenth’s ledge and observed the very few happenings in the bowl. Yes…he was generally awake before anyone.
Ya wouldn’t be up so early if you had something to occupy yourself with at night. His large oaf of a dragon replied, shifting on his stone bed. One great eyelid slid open and observed the man coolly, and only his great understanding of the bronze allowed him to see the humor.
Maybe. But then how would I play my sly tricks if I never wanted to leave my sleeping furs?
…I will get back with you on that.
Grinning, E’riol stamped his feet in his boots and laced them up quickly, adjusting his leathers and pulling on his worn but well-kept flight jacket. Striding over to the wall where his sword hung, the Wingleader paused for a moment, looking at his father’s parting gift to him. He really should visit his family soon. Buckling the sword-belt around his waist, the bronzer turned to his dragon, smirking a slight. Meet me in the bowl, Caid. As the dragon took off, the tall man rubbed his chin, considering which of his riders he would slyly set up today. K’dyn? Well….he had burned the man’s bed…he had a few more sevendays on that before needing to fear another joke. His Wingsecond? He shook his head and walked towards his door, wherhide boots echoing loudly in the hollow stone.
((I’ll leave off here and let you guys RP some more…))

K'dyn nudged Kanoni, whispering, "Listen. He's coming..." The Brownrider could hardly contain his excitement as the booted footfalls came towards the door. Oh this was just too good. He wanted to thank this greenrider for coming up with such a marvelous plan. Women were always good at scheming.
He started to scoot a bit away from the door, more quiet than a sleeping baby. He wondered what was taking the man so flaming long! It was so hard to do pranks when people didn't stick to the schedule. As always, K'dyn had the patience of a hungry hatchling.

Kanoni was nudged, and she just nodded. The excitement was forming in her stomach, and flutter-bys took over. She heard his loud, clomping boots, so obviously unaware of the misfortune about to be done to him. She stifled a giggle behind her spare hand and also began to inch slowly away. This had the effect of further tightening the string she had tied to the ramp that held the bucket. Still in a semi-crouch. she stopped dead-still, waiting for E'riol to open that door and come stepping out into the early morning Weyr.
K'dyn was inching. "Not too far, or you'll miss the look on his face," she whispered at hyperspeed. Now all they needed was E'riol.

E’riol made for his door, ready to gather his wingriders for drills, when he remembered the skin he had left on his desk. “Shards.” The Wingleader snapped, whirling on the heel of his foot and striding quickly back into his weyr. As usual, the tall man had been working up a new maneuver the night before, his sharp eyes piercing every inch of the record skin he was studying and missing nothing. It was a clever move, but then again that is what Zahra was known for. That, and sly tricks.
Blue eyes casting over the skin one last time, the bronzerider rolled it up and tucked it into his belt, heavy wherhide boots echoing as he once more neared his door. He and Caidenth had tried that move before, and it worked beautifully. Naturally, Zahra would master it without fail, for they were more than just dragonriders. They might break the rules, but it was always in good taste. The maneuver would be too dangerous for other wings, but not for his. E’riol worked them all too long and too hard for them to be anything but the best fliers in Telgar. Opening his door, the Wingleader strode into the hall, his long steps quick.

"Shards," Kanoni heard from under the door.
"Charrit," she whispered. "Hurry up!"
Then she heard quick footsteps coming to the door, sounding like they were attempting to make up for lost time. She grinned in hurried surprise, and threw a wink at K'dyn. "Cookin' with oil, now!" she said, taking one further step back. Luckily (and her good planning had noticed it), the corridor turned only ten feet from the Wingleader's door, so they would be able to make a clean get-away, provided nothing went wrong. She giggled, softly, and heard the door come open. Three, two, one, she counted, knowing exactly how many footsteps, and therefore, seconds, it took for one to go from the door to the opening.
She yanked the cord, and ran, glancing over shoulder only to make sure that the bucket hadn't bonked him on the head on the way down. It hadn't; it had only rolled off to one side after hitting the now broken wood-shaft (the shaft had broken as a resuly of the yanked cord, which allowed the bucket to dump its watery contents all over the wingleader's head). She didn't stop to see if the water had hit its target, she only started to take off around the corner towards the weyrbowl. A peal of laughter rang out from her vocals cords, and she didn't bother to stifle it.

Closer...closer.... closer. K'dyn chanted to himself, just waiting to see the look on E'riol's face. This was just too good. When Kanoni finally released the water to drop on E'riol's head, he was watching and moving at the same time. He sprung up from the ground got a good look at E'riol and sprinted off after the greenrider.
"WOOOOO!!!!!" He shouted loudly. K'dyn was totally and completely impressed with how well that had turned out. To Kanoni he said, " We'll be in the bowl long before he is, since he will have to get over that shock." Knowing Bronzers and their vanity, he wouldn't be suprised if the Wingleader took time to change. "Brilliantly executed Kanoni." He commended his comrade.
