Jenya carefully walked down the Pyralis Wing's Weyrs Hallway. She knew that they probably would not appreciate someone from a different wing being there, but one of their wing was in trouble and that trouble was affecting his Dragon.
When she reaced the Weyr that was his she took a deep breath. Maybe she could say she heard the gossip among the drudges - more than possible after all.
She would knock on the door. "N'zule..." Right, in the mood he's in he's going to just invite you in. Its affecting his Dragon, just enter. She nodded at her own thoughts, and would let herself in.
She saw the stripped bed and the state that N'zule was in, "All right, N'zule. What's the problem?"

"Who in the shards are you?" N'zule was angry. Angry enough to take whoever it was that was dumb enough to enter his Weyr, and throw said person out on their ear. The fact that he person didn't sound like a wingmate, was a woman, and had entered his Weyr without permission said a lot about her. She was definitely a rider, and she wasn't from his wing, and she'd never won one of his flights.
It also meant that Delith was violating her agreement with him again.
Delith, what did you say? More importantly, he added to himself, who had she said it too?
Nothing, nothing, it's their fault. An eyebrow raised slightly. Delith didn't often get flustered, and she sounded almost angry. Obviously they hadn't explained exactly what was going to happen, and it was making her scared.
Don't worry, I can deal with this. He felt her relief, cool and smooth when he said that. She had been too unhappy to have been meddling on purpose, so he would forgive her- this time.
"Why have you and yours upset my dragon, and what do you want?"

"Because you have distressed her in the first place! Whatever happened between you and your..." She took another quick look around his Weyr, "obviously ex-mate, has upset your Dragon."
She frowned, "She's the reason I'm here. Trust me, this kind of meddling is the last thing I want to even consider doing. But since you let whatever is bothering you get bad enough that you are neglecting your Dragon, I decided it would be better to come myself than to try to make sure that your Wingleader learnt of it and dealt with it himself."
That had been her other option, but since the Green had not wanted her to know who it was and obviously had not wanted her to intercede - though what they had expected she could do otherwise was quite beyond Jenya! - it was clear that it would have been even worse if she had gone to her own Wingleader, his Wingleader, or worse, the Weyrwoman to get this resolved.
"You are the one who upset her, N'zule. She's at the lake, positively distressed because you had a fight with your mate and now you won't wash her. As far as why I'm here? Because our Dragons are our first duty, even above ourselves and our own happiness. That you distressed your dragon would have been clear to any who happened to see her."
She shook her head, she had come to try to help, though she was not surprised at his reaction. His dragon was the one who had made this urgent though. "I don't expect you to want to open up to me. With the way this is affecting your dragon, I was not able to take the time to be all gentle in approaching you. However, I would suggest that you choose to take care of Delith. She obviously needs you. She wants you happy."
She gestured, "That might not fix the heartbreak, but your Dragon wants you happy and cares enough about you to risk talking to another about it. That should mean something to you."

"Get out of my Weyr." The man was an explosion waiting to happen, and it was doubtful this would end well. His fists were clenched, and the Greenrider had no problem with striking a Bluerider, male or female. Especially one who walked into his, without his permission, after upsetting his dragon.
"Never again assume that you may lecture me about my dragon. She was understandably depressed when I changed the time when I would clean her, but until your Blue started speaking to her, she wasn't frightened or hysterical. Now, as your presence here is upsetting her, leave."
Though his voice was cold, the man knew he wasn't standing on the strongest ground here. His stripped Weyr, and slightly crazed look wouldn't do any good, though Triveni Wingmembers usually knew better than to enter Pyralis space. His Wingsecond would get rid of her, if N'zule couldn't but that would open a whole new can of worms.
Today simply wasn't N'zule's day.

Jenya shrugged. She had been asked to help, and she had tried. If the man wanted to keep neglecting his Dragon, that was his choice.
She left without a word, though she felt poorly for the poor Green who had chosen to impress the man. A thought she kept to herself.
She shook her head simply as she returned to her own weyr. For the man to distress his dragon enough to make her seek help, and then blame it on someone else, well, as far as Jenya was concerned, that said a lot about him.

Once he was sure that the meddlesome woman was out of his weyr, the greenrider continued cleaning, slightly more angry than. No one told him how to take care of Delith, and even his Wingleader, or the Weyrwoman, or the Weyrleader would have to be careful before saying something like that. Had it been someone on his wing he would have gotten over it- but she hadn't been. He hoped that the girl never came into a place where she needed his help, for he doubted he would give it.
However, the chit was gone now.
Giving her no more thought, the Greenrider returned to his manic cleaning spree.
