The tiny green looked out over the lake, looking down. There was gossip up on the heights- she knew that, but didn't want to join in. The other greens wouldn't be able to help her understand what had happened to N'zule and his mate, and she didn't what her Rider and herself to be the topic of gossip for his week.
That meant finding a male to speak with, one who wouldn't tell everyone. Delith didn't know any males well enough to do that- she didn't spend that much time with other males when their weren't other greens.
Looking as forlorn as she felt, Delith stared at the other dragons playing in the lake. Her coloring looked off, and she felt droopy.
Who could you talk to about something like this?

Ragorth noticed the unhappy Green. Well, that was just completely unacceptable. Greens were supposed to be happy and fighty. An unhappy Green could simply not be allowed to remain unhappy.
And so the Blue, an odd one in that he had chosen a female rider. As his thoughts strayed to his rider his eyes would whirl Blue with contentment. She might be female, but he could have asked for no better rider.
However, after a moment his attention turned back to the unhappy Green. He flew down from where he had been previously sunning himself. After a moment he remembered her name, though he remembered he had never had the pleasure of catching this particular Green.
Good day, Delith. What is bothering so beautiful a Green? It is just wrong for something to make one as yourself feel so unhappy. He'd picked up some flirting tips from his Rider.

The Brown was grumpy to say the least. Not only had he been grounded but he was getting a really smushy kind of oil applied to his hide. The only thing worse was that it smelled bad and stung him. He looked out at the dragons happily bathing and grew more mopey. Sure they could have fun, they weren't grounded.
Noting a green in poor color he decided to strike up conversation. He didn't generally take it upon himself to speak with other dragons but he was soooo bored. He had to do something to pass the time while he was stuck here. Dragon healers were no longer friends of his.
Is everything alright? You look a bit out of sorts lady green. Ortath did not know her nor had he flown any greensso it was doubtful she knew him. That only made it better. He preferred anonymity.

The Green still looked mopey, though less than before. She was rather quiet, for a Green, and was unused to male dragons approaching her for no reason, unless she was about to Fly.
My rider and his mate had a fight. She offered, sounding sad. And he was suppose to give me a bath tonight. But now he's being unhappy, and I don't know what to do about it! That was the root of her problems. If there had been something that the little dragon could have done about it, then everything would have been much easier.
She splashed the water halfheartedly, still feeling sorry for herself. It would be the only time she didn't feel like flirting, two handsome dragons would arrive. Although, the brown smelled rather funny.

Oh, that was bad. His Rider never kept a mate long enough to have a fight. Though sometimes she got upset after he caught a Green. Something about "silly morals" and girls who need to loosen up. He thought morals must be some kind of people food, and didn't know how a girl loosened. And even when she felt like that, she found she felt better by giving him a bath!
Uh... He's eyes yellowed a bit with confusion. It sounds like you need to figure out how to make him happy again.
How do you do that? He considered asking his Rider, but he did not want to loose face in front of the pretty though distressed Green. What was the fight about?

I'm not sure. Let me see. Quietly, and unobtrusively, she looked into her distracted riders mind, and perused the fight. It was hard not to get rapped up in his memories, but Del pulled her mind out of his. Learning how to look at N'zule's memories had been a useful trick indeed, though it only worked when that was on his mind.
Silly things. Something about how each of them treated each other. I don't 't understand what the problem was though, they never cared how each of them treated each other in front of me. Her eyes whirled faster, and turned a yellowy color.
She turned her head to the Blue, as the Brown didn't seem to be giving any indication of having something to say yet. Has your rider ever done that?

Ragoth shook his head, My Rider does not have a mate, though. She does sometimes say things I do not understand.
Ragoth loved and adored his Rider, but he had to admit he did not understand people. How did they treat each other?
He would gently reach over and nuzzle the unhappy Green. Perhaps I should ask my Rider. She might be able to make sense of this since it is a people problem.

They always fought and then would get along again. I didn't see anything wrong with their behavior, but,, Delith ducked her head down again, this time in shame. I don't remember much.
Sometimes it truly was terrible to have a memory that lasted a very short time. She could remember trends, but even that was easier if someone was asking in a very specific manner, and giving her options. Another dragon probably would realize that, but she knew herself how hard it was to ask specific questions.
She wished her memory was better.
Could you ask Yours? That might help a lot! The little green paused. But try not to tell her who we are? Mine doesn't like it went I talk about him. In fact, she probably shouldn't have gotten into that much detail, but N'zule hadn't given her the oiling, and scrubbing like he'd promised, and she pushed that little detail out of her head.

Ragoth considered the Green. I will try. But Mine can be quite stubborn. I cannot lie to her if she presses me. But I will try not to give away who it is.
Jenya was chatting up a pretty drudge when she heard Ragoth speaking to her. Mine. I need your help.
The bluerider winked to the pretty one, "If you'll excuse me for a moment. My vain one seems to think he needs my help."
What is it, Ragoth?
A Green is having a problem with her Rider. He apparently got in a fight with his mate and will not give her a bath. They fought over how they treat each other. How can she help her Rider.
Jeyna sighed. She loved Ragoth, but there really was not enough information, and she figured the Green did not remember more to tell more. Ragoth, that's really not enough to go on. She ran her fingers through her hair as she tried to think. If its Mate issues, dear one, she probably cannot help but by being there for him.
That is not helpful, Mine. She wants him to be happy.
She sighed, Ragoth, who is the Green?
He hesitated in her mind, She asked me not to tell.
Ragoth, I can try to help but only if I know who she is, so that I know who her Rider is.
Ragoth turned his attention back to Delith, She says she can try to help but only if she knows who you are. She says you can probably only help by being 'there' for your Rider. Though I am not sure what that means.

The green hesitated. Will your rider promise not to interfere? N'zule doesn't like it when I interfere with him. He made me promise to stop meddling.
It went against her nature to not make sure her rider was happy at all times(one of the reasons she'd actually spoken to Rory). She wriggled nervously, splashing the water with her foot this time.
No, it doesn't matter, you can ask Yours. Mine needs help even if he doesn't now yet. But- but please try and keep her from talking to him. I don't like it when he's unhappy with me.
The Green might have been prone to rethinking her decision, but it was too late for that now. Her eyes changed to a darker color- one that spoke of guilt, but pleasure at the hope of help.

She does not want you to talk to her Rider. But she said I could tell you.
Ragoth, dear one, if I cannot talk to her Rider, I may not be able to do anything to help. If I can help without giving her away, I will try. But I cannot promise, Ragoth.
Ragoth trusted his Rider, and so his eyes whirled green, content that she would make the right decision, whatever it was. She is Delith.
Jeyna nodded and ran through the Green riders in her head. She was not a Queenrider who needed to know everyone, but she did make a point to know the Green's. After a moment she nodded, "N'zule."
The girl she was with raised an eyebrow, "Sorry was still talking with Ragoth." She grinned to her, "I'm sorry. We'll have to continue this another time. I'm afraid duty calls."
The girl pouted and nodded, "Fine. Just don't forget."
Jenya winked, "Oh, that, beautiful jewel, I will not."
Jenya headed out of the lower caverns and towards Pyralis' weyrs. Here's to hoping they don't get offended just by me being here...

Is she still going to talk to him? The green had ended up sounding scared. Did you tell her what the problem was?
The little green started fidgeting, moving away from the blue. She didn't like the way this was turning out. Eyes moving even faster, Del started making an irritated noise deep within her throat.
Has she got a solution? How can I help him. Delith started to feel like maybe this wasn't going the way she had wanted too.

He knew better to press her, so he did not move towards her as she moved away. I think so. But she is smart. Maybe she can talk to him without him knowing that you told?
He was not sure whether or not that would make Delith feel better. He knew he would be upset if his Rider was so upset she was neglecting him.
I think you are just supposed to let him know you love him?

He'll know! He's very smart, and I've done things like this before. The little green was practically wailing, her usually soft voice becoming a touch harsh. This was not what she had wanted to happen.
N'zule was going to be so disappointed her in.
Make her stop, make her stop!
It was, however too late. Far away, up in N'zule's weyr, a second uninvited guest was entering, and N'zule wasn't foolish enough to think anything other than that his dragon had broken their agreement again, and meddled.
Delith, what did you say?
The little green looked positively horrified that the bluerider had already gotten into the weyr and started messing with HER rider.
Nothing, nothing, it's their fault. Not exactly a strong argument, but the best she could come up with quickly.

It will be all right, Delith. Yours will surely forgive you. He should know that you just wanted to help.
Now he felt badly, but he had made sure it was ok first. He told her that his would have to go to talk to hers if she was going to help.
His eyes whirled with sadness. She is trying to help.
