He was drawn into a hug by the older and taller man, and immediately felt safer. It was a hug meant to comfort, and it was usually a good idea to ease back into relationships. N'zule didn't have any experience with renewing failed relationships, and so he didn't think to take it slow.
Fairly melting into the other man's arms, N'zule began to forget about why they were fighting- everything felt so right when they were together. It was when they were apart that he began to get worried, and have reason to be.
Wetting his lips, and starting up at Rory, it struck N'zule exactly how attractive the other man was. Had he Impressed, he would have been a sought after man, and N'zule would have never been able to keep the man. But as a drudge, N'zule could keep the glorious man to himself(flirtations, and drunken encounters not included, and defiantly not thought of).
"Stay a while longer." 'I want you.' He added silently. It had been too long since he'd last seen the other man.

Rory maintained the embrace. It was not that he could not break it and leave, he just would rather stay. The greenrider had always made him feel just a little more whole. He wished that he had left before this could happen but now that it had he only wanted to stay.
"Alright."Rory answered. His hug became less friendly, a bit more loving and more and more he felt a sexual tension building. He knew that this shouldn't be happening. Knowing something and stopping it were two different things. Rory had long ago made this decision.
With N'zule so close, Rory found himself wanting more. He could not help himself. He bent down slightly and kissed N'zule. It was not a heavy kiss, not really passionate either. The kiss was soft and almost its own apology.

As the hug changed it's intent N'zule felt better. If Rory still desired him, then things hadn't been completely ruined between the two of them.
Returning the kiss with passion, the shorter man used Rory's bulk to give him support to reach upwards, and kiss him with force. Never mind the soft caresses- right now he had an itch that only the other man could scratch. His one arm encircled Rory's waist, while the other reached upwards and struggled between playing with Rory's short hair, and trying to draw him even more into the kiss.
Though his bed(fixed carefully by Rory's talented fingers) lay only a few feet away, N'zule wasn't that forward. Rory hadn't picked him- not this time. There was still the chance the drudge would leave, and being pressed into something he didn't want would probably lead it it. That a forceful kiss wasn't something Rory had requested didn't seem to enter the man's head. N'zule had never been the best at reading people.

He could have done anything, anything but what he had done and things would have progressed as they ought to. Rory should have known better than to put himself in such close proximity with N'zule. Even as he realized the kiss being returned was more forceeful and passionate, Rory wondered if this was what N'zule truly wanted.
The greenrider was often an emotional whirlwind and it seemed that he couldn't think with his head when he was in certain moods. Still Rory was completely entranced by N'zule, as he had been when they had met the first time. The drudge continued the kiss and began to move back toward the bed, subconciously. It was a habit. He wasn't thinking anymore.
In all reality, he was too far in to this to care. He loved N'zule and even if this was just a spurr of the moment decision, he was happy. This was where he wanted to be. Breaking off the kiss a moment, Rory whispered, "Do you still want me to stay?" The meaning was clear. If N'zule wanted to continue this he would say yes, if not then Rory had better leave now before things got too heated.

This time there was no hesitation.
"Yes."
There was more to say, of course- how much he loved him, how much he'd missed him, but the Greenrider didn't want to take the time or leave himself open to any more wounds. They would, he was sure, discuss things at length when all was said and done.
Following the other man's move towards the bed, N'zule hesitated. He still didn't want to risk being to forceful, but at this point if the other man had poked him, he would have fallen backwards onto the bed. And this time he wouldn't have to worry about the bed breaking. For a flash of a second, the greenrider's green eyes darkened, as he realized that he had not waited for Rory like a good partner would. Remembering that his partner wasn't one for remaining celibate either, he relaxed.
This would make it all better.
After all, they loved each other!

That yes was very very convincing. It wasn't long at all before Rory had moved N'zule onto the bed. Everything was great after they got rid of this tension they could talk. For now, things were perfect as they were. Having the faster fingers, Rory took his own shirt off then began to remove N'zule's as well. Before long they were lost in their passion. (fade out)
He lay on N'zule's bed looking up at the roof of the weyr as he had doen coutless times before. As always he wondered what brougt him back time after time. It wasn't that he didn't have other men to pleasure him if he wanted, he could have other riders too. N'zule had a temper and he wasn't patient. Not to mention he had waited all of 24 hours to replace Rory. At least the drudge waited several days before actually seeing anyone.
He rolled onto his side, facing N'zule. "We need to talk..." He said it quietly almost hoping N'zule wouldn't hear him. Rory didn't like confrontation.

'We need to talk'.
It could have been the most innocuous statement ever, but it wasn't. Needing to talk about anything was always a bad idea. Especially in his and Rory's case. The naked and sated man really wasn't thinking clearly enough to think about trying to delay this inventible process, however, and snuggling up to Rory, he didn't really care.
"What about?"
Another simple question. It seemed that this morning(evening, night?) would be full of them. The man yawned and waited- Rory never had problems talking.

The greenrider seemed a bit tired. Rory smiled at him while he snuggled in. Putting an arm around the greenrider almost protectively he spoke, voice calm and quiet. "About us." He said, letting the words sink in. Rory took a moment to look at the other man... hoping he wouldn't get angry over something small.
"I know I haven't been very understanding lately. There are things that I regret. Most of all I regret that I didn't talk to you about what was bothering me until it had become something very hurtful." He was going to tell him what was really bothering him but it was going to take guts for him to actually say it.
"Mostly I've been jealous. I don't want anyone else to be with you ever and as much as I understand that greens must rise and such I care too much about you. You have to understand, I care more about you than anyone I have ever met and it hurts everytime that Delith flies because I have to sit back and wait while some other man sleeps with you."

Turning slightly so that he could relax into Rory's arm, and look at his lover's face as well, N'zule listened. The more that Rory spoke, the more shocked and amazed the greenrider grew. He'd had no idea that the Weyrbred drudge had any misgivings about the nature of N'zule's relationship with Delith. It made him uncomfortable and he clenched his hand for a second before slowly releasing it. Really- it was good that they were getting it out in the open. And it didn't bode badly for their continued relationship- it was just something that they'd have to work on. After all, any feelings of guilt during his Flight's could potentially hurt Delith, and Delith came before everyone.
"Rory- there isn't anything I can do. You knew what was going to happen when we got together." The thought that Rory should have thought about it first entered his head, but he ruthlessly squashed that thought.
"I mean, it's not really any different that you're flirting."

Of course there wasn't anything N'zule could do, except be more understanding of Rory. That was the purpose of the talk, so that they understood what frustrated one another. "Its different going into it knowing and then dealing with it over time. Besides I'm not saying that Delith is doing anything wrong. She is a perfectly sweet dragon and she is always looking out for you." He wanted N'zule to at least say something about his own behavior. It wasn't as if the greenrider had done nothing in all this.
Rory grew more serious. "It is a little different and you know it." He had not told N'zule about his last relationship with a greenrider because he hadn't thought it necessary to bring up the past. Now it seemed the past was preventing him from being happy in his current relationship.
"I don't know what to do N'zule. I love you and I want you happy and Delith too. Sometimes I just feel that I'm not appreciated..."

N'zule's eyebrow raised when Rory confessed to feeling under appreciated. It was as confusing a statement as the other man could have made. Did he want N'zule to give him more attention? Did he need something?
It was weird- N'zule was sure that he gave the other man more than enough attention, and if anything, he was the one who should be complaining about a lack of appreciation. He was the one who would be left behind during a party, he was the one who had to deal with Rory's drunken moods, and he was the one who had to make sure no chit or boy got their eyes set on him. N'zule didn't enjoy sharing Rory, and the other man should have at least recognized the importance of Delith's Flights rarely being caught by the same dragon twice.
It was a different form of loyalty, but it was a form of loyalty all the same.
"So, you want me to change?" Though he struggled to keep his voice even, it spiked a little bit. He couldn't believe where this conversation was going.

Rory didn't know what to expect from N'zule at this point. He knew he had not been the perfect boyfriend thus far. If anyone had messed things up in this relationship it had been him but there were things N'zule did and would never take credit for. He noted the change in the greenriders voice and grew a bit tense.
"This isn't just about you, its me as well...and I think we would be better off if we made some adjustments." He was just waiting now, either N'zule would take this all in stride or he would be angry.
"I want us to work, cubling." He said the pet name almost without thinking, letting his arm move so that he could caress N'zule's face. No doubt the greenrider would bring up his behavior next. Rory wasn't a saint but he wasn't that bad either so he hoped whatever N'zule did say would be able to be worked through. He was willing to do anything...

"What kind of adjustments?" N'zule flinched slightly when Rory touched his face- he hated to be touched without warning. And he winced a little when Rory called him cubling. It was a pet name, and always made him feel a little ridiculous, even if was cute. That was just something he couldn't admit.
Feeling rather flustered, the Greenrider wished they'd waited until they'd put clothes on before having this conversation. He felt vulnerable and unprotected it. Of course, this conversation wasn't really about him- it was about Rory, and Rory's actions, but he still would have liked something to show them as who they were in the daylight hours. It was easy not to beg, or give in when he was N'zule, respected wingrider of Pyralis, and rider of Delith- but when he was simply N'zule, well, that may it a lot harder.
"Do you mean you're planning on ceasing your drinking?"
Perhaps that was all that was happening- Rory was making changes for the better and wanted to make sure that N'zule would acknowledge them.

He pulled away from N'zule slowly. "No. Why should I?" Rory grew a little angry at that. If N'zule didn't like his drinking than that wasn't Rory's problem. He was not going to change himself if N'zule was going to continue to act like he didn't do anything wrong.
"You honestly think I would give something up when you won't even admit to doing anything wrong?" Rory got out of the bed rapidly. Grabbing what clothing was his, he began to dress. He was going to ahve to tell N'zule exactly what he thought.
"I get it really. N'zule your too old to still believe the entire world revolves around you. First you get angry about my flirtations and you constantly keep other men from pursuing me, but I let them pursue you because I know they must. If you ask me you're being a hipocrit."

The whole idyllic after was rapidly becoming less than ideal.
"What is it that I do wrong?" He was angry- Rory went on and on about how he didn't share, but then didn't tell him what it was that he did wrong. He too stood up, and began grabbing his clothes- he'd be Threaded if he was going to let the other man run out of this. Trademark Pyralis temper began to thunder in his ears- Rory did that too him.
"And you now sharding well that Flights is different. I ask you to stop something voluntary, and you ask me to stop something as unchanging as the tide." He didn't make a comment on everything revolving around him. To him it looked like a comment on his age, and he didn't want to think thirty one was that old.
"You should give up drinking because it's bad for you. And because it makes you look like a fool when you're drunk all the time." It was hard for him to sound reasonable when he was so sharding angry. "No one respects the man who sings loudly, and gets in everyone's face every evening."
He knew he was exaggerating, and simply didn't care, finding his pants, and getting them on as well as his shirt in a matter of seconds. Didn't Rory realize that he made them both look foolish?
