Orlin was bored.
He knew it made things easier for others if he stayed in his workrooms for a few designated hours everyday, no matter how busy he was(or how little he had to do). The problem was, not everyone needed something from him, or wanted something from him, and he was running out of fun things to do. Sure, he could get a head start on spinning, but that was just as boring, and he was sure he could find an apprentice somewhere and train them in that. Or he could work on some of his charity pieces, but he just wasn't in the mood!
Staring moodily at the door, the Weaver waited, and waited and waited. Someone would need to walk through the door, and soon. After all, he was the best clothing creator in this place!

K'dyn was still a little scorched especially on his neck. He carried the charred jacket on his arm, delicately. He was going to have to get another one made. He'd keep this one of course, as a reminder. He hated Pyralis wing.
He looked back down at his jacket, it used to be brown... now it was more black... at least what was left of it was black. Trust that pack of wherry headed dimglows to use a flamethrower on his jacket! His Wingleader, had told him the best place to get clothes made and mended was this man, Jounreyman Orlin.
He knocked on the door, wondering if the other man would be about this time of day. He really was in trouble now. His whole wing was at drills and he couldn't go till he had a jacket to wear. Leather was a hard substance to work with but it kept one warm going Between.

The door was knocking!
Nearly squealing with joy, the tallish man leaped up, and practically ran to the door. Pausing a mere second to regain his composure, Orlin then threw open the door to see-
"What in the name of the stars are you wearing?
Orlin stared at the Brownrider in shock. It wasn't simply the scorched leather jacket(which smelled like scorched leather, and was rather offensive), it was the whole ensemble.
"Come in, come in, we'll get right to work." The man bustled away to go gather a few samples of colors, his measuring tape, and whatever else he decided he needed. "Go stand up on that stool- we'll get your leg measurements done first. Then shirts, and we'll get you another jacket right after that."
Having a veritable armful of things now, he paced back to the stool, which had a table next to it. The room was rather nice, with a couch, several tables, a great deal of glows, and a small fireplace that wasn't lit. Chairs also littered the room, and a large manpowered sewing machine took up some space in the back of the room, under the light of more glows.
"What colors do you prefer?"

He was going to have words with E'riol later. K'dyn just smiled at the weaver with a slight amount of confusion on his face. "Its just a riding outfit. Nothing special..." Obviously the weaver could care less about his answer.
K'dyn thought things would be fine but the weaver had him in a state of shock. "What do you mean leg measurements? Shirts? I can't do any flying without my jacket." He added, hoping that could get him out of the whole measurement thing. It sounded like a lot of marks were about to be put into a wardrobe that he never thought about.
"I like dark colors." Most dark colors went well with eachother and he didn't have to do any real matching. Besides women ought to be more concerned with clothing than men.

"Dark colors?" A little of Orlin's distaste showed in his voice. "How boring! Well, we'll give you some shirts in a dark red, or blue. It's too bad- you would look spectacular in a good shade of orange."
He dumped his small pile of tester clothes- each in a color he'd decided might work for the Rider. "Don't worry, we'll get you a rider jacket soon enough. And a little extra time on your pants might make riding a little more enjoyable- Rider's like yourself must realize a little padding on your pants would keep them warmer all the way up in the skies!"
The flamboyant man unrolled his measuring tape with brisk efficiency, and grabbed his wax tablet and something to write with. Pausing for a second, he looked at the brownrider again(the shoulder knots hadn't been completely destroyed).
"Well, up on the stool with you! Come on, you don't have all day, do you?" He started to write upon his tablet, then stopped again. "I need your name too."
His day was beginning to look up- it was always nice to have someone new to play with.

K'dyn wondered what would make the other man think orange. He was happy that they were sticking to a color scheme that he liked and not necessarily what the weaver wanted. K'dyn was a darker man but not nearly as dark as Journeyman Orlin. He was still watching at the speed in which the man was going. He seemed a bit excited if K'dyn was not mistaken.
"Oh, right. Well that does make sense." He added thinking that the weaver was probably looking out for his best interests. The rider took the time to look around the room. Weaving was obviously this man's life. His room reflected it. Even his clothing reflected it.
K'dyn moved where the man had told him too and looked down at him. "I uh... no I don't.." He really couldn't keep up with this man's speed. "K'dyn. Zahra wingrider of Brown Ortath"
What in Faranth's name was he getting himself into?

'Kdyn' was quickly carved into his wax, and then the measuring tape came out. His legs were 34 inches long, 16 inches at the thick part of the calf, 21 inches at the thick part of the thigh, and a waist of 38. His torso was longer, 37 inches long, and his shoulders were 43 inches. His biceps were 16 inches, and his forearm was 13 inches. His neck was another 14 inches, and wasn't very long.
Putting all of that down, he made a mark that signified preferences. Then the rapid fire questions came out. "Do you prefer fitted pants, loose pants, or tight pants? Does your body size change easily? Fitted shirts, tight shirts or loose shirts. For your jacket- loose, tight or fitted. Do you like small buttons or big buttons? Do you prefer ties or buttons on your jacket?"
During his question, his arms were pointing at places that would exemplify his questions, and fidgeting with choices for color. There was a nice brown- a little dark for his own tastes, but something that would suit K'dyn, and a good green too. The man would need two pairs of pants- one meant for riding, and the other for leisure. And several shirts. Only one jacket of course, as those were rather expensive.
The important things were quickly marked in quickly after K'dyn finished speaking. As soon as he was done, Orlin began pulling out swathes of cloth he felt to be appropriate, and laying them out on the table for K'dyn to inspect.

"Well I normally just wear whats comfortable, loose pants and a shirt that fits well, but isn't tight." He wondered what he should answer for button size. He didn't want anything too large of course. "A button thats not large or very small would be good. Oh and buttons on the jacket as well."
Maybe he was a crazy person? The young rider wondered at the other man's sanity. He wasn't sure the man was at all stable. Then again , who cared, one probably had to be insane to do this job and do it well.
Never judge genius... K'dyn looked at the color swatches that Orlin had laid out. "And what do we do with these?"

"We decide which colors you like, and then, I get to work on making you the clothes you need. Two or three shirts, two pairs of pants, and a new jacket. I'm assuming you want the same color jacket- and I'm fairly sure I already have that kind of leather here, so it should only take me a day or so two." It could take less time, if the Brownrider wanted to grease Orlin's palms a little, but it would still take all day to get everything done.
Especially if the boy didn't hurry up and choose a good color.
"The green might be nice- or the blue. I'm a fan of red, but I don't know about you." His speech had slowed down slightly, as the Weaver was slightly distracted. Loose pants, with fitted shirts- it wouldn't take that long, not very long at all. The pants, maybe a little bit longer as he'd promised to make them a little thicker and warmer.
"I have less of a selection in leather- but for your pants, and your jacket we have brown, brown, and more brown. I can get you leather in a different color, but it would take longer, and cost more."

"Oh... alright."A day or two... he hoped sooner than later. E'riol was going to have his hide for this and probably that of his first born child. He looked at the colors, actaully it was suprising but K'dyn agreed with the weaver. For his skin tone he had always liked red. "Red is one of my favorite colors. Lets do that then."
He looked at the brown leathers. That would be fine. He liked the color brown, he rode a brown dragon after all. It was sort of interesting when he wore a simialar color to Ortath. The brown dragon was incorrigible and quite possibly amused at this whole situation.
It did get them out of Wing drills for the next day or two. That was something to be happy about, however, he had the feeling that E'riol would plan something for him to do that didn't ahve to do with flying. Almost a punishment of sorts.

"Very good. That'll be three and a half marks." It was a good deal of money- but it was also a good deal of work- and it was going to done quickly. The dark toned man smiled slightly.
"You don't have to pay me until you receive the clothes." Of course, the Weaver knew the man's name, and if worse came to worse, he could always report his delinquency to his Wingleader.
"Now leave- I must have time to work on this." Now was the time for the man to offer an extra something for faster work, or not, but Orlin was bored, and wished for perfect harmony which K'dyn's glaringly gross pants were taking away from.
His hands already itching to begin, he started to move toward the back of his rooms where he kept his nicer cloth.

K'dyn listed as he heard the total. He wanted to take the whole Pyralis Wing down here and have them each pay twice as much just for getting him into this mess. He was a regular Wingrider and he didn't make all that much money, still he had to pay the man and he did come on a recommendation. "Alright. I will come back when you are ready with your payment, three and a half marks." With that the brownrider turned and walked out of the weaver's workroom.
