Eleventh Pass, Turn 1.
It's the start of a new Pass.
Two Turns after a massive cave in at Lavaen Weyr, the Riders of Selas were hardly prepared for what the new Pass would bring. With a fresh Weyrwoman and a mourning Weyr, the newly established Selas Weyr suffered many casualties that first Fall. However, life must go on, now more than ever. With a Weyr half full, weyrs still being constructed, and the Senior Queen soon to Rise, there is much happening in Pern, and much to be done. Every hand is needed now in order to fight Pern's traditional foe... But taken by surprise, and with its riders still adjusting to a new Weyr, and new leadership, it's uncertain how long Selas Weyr can last.
The Weyr could certainly stand to have better backing, as well. With Lord Holders more concerned with their own affairs than the tithes they send to the Weyr, supplies are in danger of running low without Weyr intervention... And with the queens producing more eggs than before, it's becoming hard to find enough Candidates to satisfy Weyr demand. And besides, what Candidate wants to take a chance at a Weyr that has yet to prove itself, and which may not last the Turn? Selas is certainly going against the odds, but failure is not an option. Dragonmen must fly when Thread is in the sky.
Selas Weyr is a brand new Pern forum and is seeking members.
