R'tor sighed as he pulled on his warm sheepskin jacket. It was bound to get chilly at night, and he didn't want to be freezing for the duration of his Watch. All riders pulled a night Watch once in a while, but that didn't mean he couldn't complain about it. R'tor wasn't happy about having to stay up into the wee hours of the morning, trying not to doze off. At least he would have a companion, whatever rider had also pulled the watch for that night.
Before heading out, he filled up a thermos of klah in the kitchen and grabbed two mugs, one for himself and one for the other rider. He considered wine, too, but that probably wasn't a good idea when he was going to be in a high place. With the klah in hand and the mugs (plus a pack of cards) in his shoulder bag, he headed outside.
Falath was waiting in the 'bowl. The dainty green wasn't too upset about having to do the night Watch. Dragons just didn't complain about those things. She extended her forearm and R'tor mounted. Falath jumped gracefully into the air and flew up to the Star Stones. Maybe we can play I Spy,[/color] she suggested as R'tor dismounted. It was something they often did on Watch together.
R'tor smiled and patted her shoulder. Maybe, but first I think I'll want some human company. He wondered who would show up for Watch. Even though he had been in the present Weyr for a turn, there were still people he had yet to really reunite with, so he was meeting "new" people all the time. R'tor leaned against his dragon's side and waited.
