The absolute last place in the world M'ren wanted to be this morning was at the lake. And while he wasn't at the lake, where the sun bouncing off of the water's surface would turn his headache into a monster that would kill and eat everyone in sight(Thoth included), the feeding grounds was not much better.
While Thoth enjoyed the noises the herdbeasts were making(high pitched squeals of terror that were like little noise Threads chewing his brain into smaller, more painful lumps every second), M'ren would have gladly paraded in the Weyrhall naked rather than suffer another second of noise. And he wasn't some former Weyrbrat who saw nothing wrong with being naked either, the Holdbred boy was in simply so much pain that when- crunch - Thoth's feeding began in earnest, M'ren simply wanted to find a small (peacefully) dark hole to crawl into.
The background noise of Thoth singing 'Tasty tasty, yummy tasty, tasty tasty Herdbeast!' didn't help either. With a pitiful groan, M'ren moved backwards until he hit a wall/moutainside/something cold and stony, and allowed himself to slide down it and place his head down on his thighs. He was a pathetic sight, with wrinkled shirt and pants, and the very faintest smell of wine. His face, which could no longer be seen, was haggard and there were dark circles under his eyes.
Hangovers were not kind, particularly not on days like today. And M'ren could think of no other statement more true.

Suwert was looking around the weyr, learning it's layout, when he sighted the rider. He recognised the signs of a hangover. He did have to remember to be kind to him, even though Suwert rarely drank anywhere enough to even come close to geting drunk. He motioned to Black to follow him, but to stay quiet. He carefully worked his way over to the rider. When he got close enough that he probably would be heard, he cleared his throught and asked in his normal, quiet, voice.
"Excuse me, would you like some help?"
Suwert remembered, after he asked, that he wasn't wearing his healer knots. He still wasn't use to being at the weyr and the differences from the Hall or a hold. Not that the weather was a problem. He was use to it having spent so much time in the Telgar Hold infirmary.
