Benden Weyr. With a new Weyrleader defected from Fort and an alliance with Selenitas Weyr, Benden seems on its way to a victory in the war...or is it? With a Weyr that distrusts its leader, many of the Lord Holders rebelling against a rule they are unaccustomed to, and some of Weyrleader J'lorin's closest followers at a different Weyr, it would be a lie to say that Benden Weyr has made a complete transformation...and to make matters worse, they have failed to lend aide to Selenitas in times of trouble; how are things going in the North?
Fort Weyr. Once a Weyr of strict hierarchy and militaristic brilliance, Fort Weyr is rapidly turning into the once-loathed eat-or-be-eaten society that Benden once was under their Weyrleader, R'anatar. After wiping out the entire High Reaches Weyr out in an act of genocide, Fort Weyr is quickly becoming Selenitas's most feared and most hated enemy...
Selenitas Weyr. A newly-formed alliance with Benden has brought this Southern Weyr, formerly interested in staying far, far away from any warfare, into the Northern War irreversibly. Once recognized for being a safe haven for defects from the War, Selenitas is that no longer: How can they trust defects from either Weyr now, if they ever had? Fort, who launched an attack on Selenitas after destroying High Reaches, or Benden, who failed to offer assistance as promised?
Current Plots
- An alliance has been formed with Benden Weyr, and two of their better fighters have been sent to Selenitas to teach our wings fighting...
- Poison has been deposited in Selenitas's main River, poisoning countless dragons, Salamandyrs, firelizards, and whers, and the Junior Weyrleader was attacked -- almost killed...who was behind this?
- After seven High Reaches Riders fled from an annihilated Weyr, Fort came quickly on their tracks, claiming several lives and the destruction of the Main Hall and Hatching Sands. Fortunately, hostages were taken -- but can any explanation heal the wounds left?
- Benden Weyr has handed Selenitas a 'present' -- a group of unidentified dragonriders. Where are they from? Why have they been given to Selenitas, sedated and tied as they are?
