Telon is of average height for his grand old age of eight turns, and has a athletic type build due to his active personality. His gray eyes are often sparkling with inner mischief or laughter. Telon's short, dark brown hair makes his light skin tone stand out by contrast. A few freckles across his nose and cheeks dot his smooth, childish complexion.
Like many younger children, Telon often appears less than clean. He often wears his older half-brother Terence's hand me down clothing, as he always manages to end up disheveled and dirty at the end of the day anyway.
Personality:
A weyrbrat through and through. Telon lives for excitement and anything that might give him a thrill. He's definitely a dare devil, and he finds it quite amusing to scare the wits out of his mother with his antics. If you ever pose a dare to young Telon, you could bet the hide of a dragon that he'll eagerly go through with the challenge. He considers nothing to dangerous or ridiculous, and completing every dare serves as a mark of honor to him amongst his fellow weyrbrats.
With those characteristics in mind, you might assume that Telon would not be the best student in the creche and you'd be perfectly correct in that regard. Telon has an active mind, he's always thinking of how he could climb that or jump off this, and this is reflected in the way he can never seem to settle down and keep still. That, combined with his tendency to play a bit of the class clown type, often leaves him in trouble. He prefers the children of his own rowdy, rule pushing, lively bent, and truly dislikes the goody goody types that do anything for praise.
Telon is a very outgoing child. He can hold his tongue around those he knows he must respect, but more often than not he just blurts out what he wants to say. He finds little difficulty in approaching people he doesn't know, and he enjoys making new friends. Telon absolutely hates being alone more than anything. History: Telon was born in 1046 to a drudge in the lower caverns, Telina, and Ei'lon of blue Tyruth. He is the second of four children born to Telina, and was raised by his mother in the lower caverns with his half-siblings. His father never recognized him, which is fairly common amongst children born to drudges in the Weyr.
He grew up closest with his half-sister, Relina, and the two are truly partners in crime. Telon enjoys making up truly daring feats for Relina to attempt. He never did enjoy Eimorna's company because she's more of a "girly-girl," Terence had his own set of friends, and Eitreno earned himself an apprenticeship really far away.
Telon was always a handful, even as a baby, and he's been working to become even more rascally as turns have passed. He often finds himself bogged down with extra chores and lessons. Sometimes he can get his younger half-brother, Betlon, to do his extra chores, but he knows if he gets caught doing that he'll only get punished even more. Still though, its fun to see what you can get away with.
When Telon was just seven, the first wave of illness swept over the Weyr. He lost a handful of friends from the lower caverns, and many others died too. Thankfully, Telon did not get sick the first time around. Unfortunately, Telon was one of the many to contract the illness that appeared just a turn later. The young lad recovered quickly, but many in his family and around the Weyr did not. Telon was very fearful that he would lose his best friend, Relina, to the sickness, but thankfully his half-sister made a full recovery too.
For what ever reason, Telon has issues with male authority figures, which only adds to his time spent serving some form of punishment. Some say it likely comes from his lack of a stable father-figure. Telon rarely listens to males in ranking positions and he likes to challenge their directions to him (at only eight turns!).
