The greenrider glanced down at his glass almost sad that it was not his own favorite wine but rather that of his dead weyrmate. It had been two turns and still a day did not go by thast he did not think of G'bor. Today of all days was a hard one to deal with. It was G'bor's birthing day. They used to spend it together, the entire day, no one else entered their lives. Today was not going to be like last turn, where he hid himself away the entire day.
He had been ready for drills this morning, like any other day and had tried to go through the motions without thought. Xyrath caught the fact that her rider was sad but there was nothing she could or would say. Dragons were marvelous when it came to logic but when it came to emotion they only had a basic understanding.
J'mie had somehow muddled through today without a tear. Maybe it was time to move on, as Xyrath had told him countless times. He knew G'bor would have wanted him to be happy. How though? The greenrider sipped more of the wine, having barely touched his dinner. The evening wore on like it would last forever. The Weyrhall had grown quiet the last thirty minutes or so. That was at least a comforting sign that most the residents were preparing for a good night sleep.
He almost didn't want to be alone tonight. He was alone far too much lately. J'mie was a sociable person and he wanted to be that again. His solitary state was bothering him more every day. If he could just take the first steps to moving on from here. He just didn't know how.
