Appearance: Jaizen is by no means a large man, though he is neither small nor boyish in his features. Turns of hard labor have toned his muscles lining proportionate limbs and torso, and his time in the sun has tanned his skin to a dark, yet healthy color. His hair is a deep chestnut with varying tones of shades of brown mingled in, both natural and sun-faded. The locks are slightly waxy and fall just past his ears. His face is well shaped and well set. Deep green eyes set apart by a neat -and miraculously straight- nose, over fully delicious lips. A slightly dimple chin is often clean shaven. His hands are callused from the work, well worn, and often coated in harness oil, dirt or fur. Sometimes combinations of any of those.
His lean frame is mostly hidden by clothes that had seen better days. He has a few good pairs of pants and shirts for special occasions, but other than those, the ones he wears daily are made for work --though, he's also often found topless working, knowing full well how nice his body is. And it never hurt to flaunt a little, did it?

Mother; Julene (54). Deceased in childbirth. This woman was exhausted by the time of her death. Raising 8 children wasn't easy!!! She gave up easy at the will of her rambunctious children.
Father; Ector (53). A burly man, he definitely was the type to keep his children in line... when he was home. Remarried after the death of Julene. He manufactures harness for workbeasts.
Step-mother; Ailsie (45). A sour woman who despises her step-children, but loves their father dearly. She has only one child of her own after being widowed at a much younger age. Originates from the High Reaches.

Personality: Jaizen is a well humored man. He rightfully knows when to laugh and when to be serious. Though he likes to keep a bright outlook on life it does not always seem so. From childhood he'd had a burden of responsibility, and that usually tended to make somewhat sour adults. This man wouldn't allow himself to succumb to being such a bitter man. He gets along with pretty much everyone. He rarely judges people from any lifestyle, and keeps his quarrels to himself should they arise with an individual. In simpler terms: He gets along with everyone until they give him a reason not to.
In his naturally likeness of almost everyone, Jaizen is a hopeless romantic. A natural flirt with a witty tongue and an easy attitude, he is somewhat of a lady's man. But then... who could resist him?!
Hobbies/Skills: He is very adept in riding and anything to do with runner or work beasts. He knows the animals better than people. Other than that, he does enjoy a good swim.
Pets: He keeps a small runnerbeast, a dark brown in color, which he calls Barzig.
History: After the death of his mother, Jaizen, as one of the older siblings, had to take on the responsibilities of helping his older sister in the care of the younger ones in their father's frequent absences. It was no easy task, but became progressively easier as the years went by and they grew older.
As each sibling developed their own interests and hobbies, Jaizen was free to do so as well. He became increasingly fascinated with the creatures for which his father made harness for. He began spending more time away from his younger sibling, and more time in the small stables owned by minor fort holders. He learned a lot in those few years around the beasts. Many people were considerate enough to let him groom and care for their (and even an occasional ride) and with such opportunity, Jaizen was thrilled.
Then of course, came the dreaded day that he met Ailsie and her daughter, from High Reaches. His new step-mother had no such like of the boy tracking beast hair from one end of the home to another, leaving muddy boots in the doorway. But then again, Ailsie had a problem with every child except her own. Then of course, she had a problem with location. She had her heart set on something grander. Something grander than Nabol. She wanted Fort Hold. Go figure, that when discussed, Jaizen's father easily caved to her will and off to Fort Hold they went.
It didn't take long for Jaizen to find new stables to loiter around, new beasts to groom and exercise. Not long at all. He took great comfort in the animals' presence when his sister wed and moved away, and it was also such a day that he became employed in the Lord Holder's stable after a casual, but obviously impressive ride.
And like adjusting to a new home, the stable was no different. It became his home away from home, and it was thus, that he met Lady Sulia. A woman after his own heart... one that loved the beasts and to ride as much as he did. It has been a short relationship thus far, limited mostly to the Lady's riding habits. Jaizen is not overambitious, and holds no fantasies about Sulia- okay, well not TOO many, anyways.... He knows his place, compared to her, he is but a stable boy. The higher you aim, the farther you fall, as they say.
