Gender: female
Age: 20
Origin: Fort Hold

Her face is a long oval with defined cheekbones that are the envy of her friends. In stark contrast to her skin, Mahsima's hair is a dark brown, almost black. Her body shape is best described as a pear, with wider hips and a slimmer upper body. She likes to keep the rest of her body as pale as her face and her small, slim white hands are her pride and joy.
Family:
Derek and Mahdis were arranged to be married by Mahdis' parents. She was only 14 Turns and he was 20. They adapted well and though have never fallen in love get along quite amicably. Derek is easygoing and lets his children mostly do as they please. As long as no one causes trouble he admires his family and brags about them often. Mahdis has a strict hand in everything that goes on in the house. She is determined to have her children raised right and marry wealthy. She often pushes them into things, sometimes a little too hard.
Together they had eight children, three of which died before 10 Turns by various illnesses and accidents. The remaining are:
Klaron - 25, male, the firstborn, strong personality, very stern and tradition-following
Mahsima - 20, fourth child born
Hallah - 17, fifth child born, quiet, sweet, obediant, a little too blunt in her honest nature though
Sakat - 16, sixth child born, quiet, a bit antisocial, is going to be trained as a harper
Khirban - 13, eighth child born, gets what he wants, overweight, rude, egotistical
Sexual Orientation: heterosexual
Personality: Mahsima has a friendly and playful personality which is offset by some coyness. Her looks and smile draw many people near until they spend a week or so with her. Then they see that Mahsima is quite the gossiper and the starter of many rumors. She likes to snoop in other peoples business. She is selfish and has never thought of anyone but herself. She is vain and sometimes haughty and makes a big deal taking care of her skin, clothes, and hair.
Mahsima can be quite kind to children, giving them treats and playing with them. She is also sweet-spirited in gardens where flowers seem drawn to her. Outside of those two situations, Mahsima is driven by one goal - finding a husband - something her mother brainwashed her with.
Hobbies/Skills: Mahsima is among the best embroiderers in her circle of friends. She is also known to have a green thumb which just means she is good at finding and looking at beautiful flowers and plants. She would never get her hands dirty actually helping in her garden. While Mahsima is not the best of dancers she gets by with average. After many years of practice she no longer trips every partner that asks her to dance. A new hobby of Mahsima's is art - when she feels the need she will take colors out to the garden to paint what usually comes out as Impressionistic looking pictures (in other words blobs of color).
Pets: Mahsima has a canine which she refuses to take care of and rarely lets near her. Her younger sister claimed it as her own, which Mahsima is fine with.
History: After her mother lost 2 girls, Mahsima was born. At first Mahdis refused to spend any time with her but after Mahsima lived for 1 Turn her mother finally agreed to accept the child. Since then Mahdis has been a powerful influence over Mahsima and the girl has allowed her mother to boss her around. Mahsima was an agreeable child until her mother started raising her. Everyone was saddened when the sweet little girl turned into a demanding, vain child after 2 Turns with her mother. By then another child was born and Mahsima was handed off to others again. Although she refused to help in the garden anymore, Mahsima continued to have a hand in everything planted and spent almost every day there until her mother decided she was old enough to have lessons at 8 Turns.
Mahsima's lessons consisted mostly of sewing and dancing. As she got older, her mother would take her to the market to show her how to barter and find good buys. One afternoon when she was 13 Turns Mahsima got sunburnt. After that she was not allowed to go to the market, even though Mahsima cried for a week. To make up for it her mother bought a puppy for Mahsima that followed her around. Less than a Turn later the dog accidentally scratched Mahsima and that was the end of that too. Through life one of the most important lessons Mahsima learned was to take cae of her skin above all else and no matter the cost. Coincidentally she became quite vain.
Mahsima did not have much interaction with her siblings growing up. Her younger sister joined her for lessons but Mahsima rarely talked to her. She disliked her sweetness that attracted children and adults alike. The younger boys were taught academics by a different tutor and Mahsima did not care for them anyway. The youngest was born right before Mahsima started lessons and she did not see him much after that. Klaron, being 5 Turns older than Mahsima, was always separated for his own training. Mahsima always thought of him as being stuck-up because he was so solemn and serious.
As Mahsima got older, her mother secured her a spot in court. Unfortunately her younger sister went as well and Mahsima had to learn to at least get along with her. As a court member Mahsima is flirty and forward. While sometimes acting demure around especially high-ranking people, she accepts any boy that will look her way. She has been caught a few times and sternly lectured by her father, but as usual puts her mother's words first - and those are to find a husband. Mahsima has no personal goals of marrying a Holder, just a guy who is rich. She continues in her daily life spending hours in gardens, gossiping with friends, going to as many events as possible, and flirting with boys.
