Character Info:
Name: Sairi
Age: 35
Gender: female
Rank: Wingrider
Family:
Father; B’nkole (73) – Rider of Blue Nizam, retired from Zahra Wing. This rider fit the profile of the wing with an outdaring accuracy. Clever and quick-witted, old age hasn’t deterred the man’s mind, simply his physical ability to ride so daringly. He is sometimes found coaching the Weyrlings.
Mother; Mirna (65)—Mirna is a happily aging woman who doesn’t let her age distract from her inner beauty. She is one of several Weyrnannies that chases along after those children that “just wanna pet the dragons”. Though she has a light, kind heart, she is stern in her teachings, and even if the children try to fool her with her failing sight, she has her tricks too!
Past-mate; V’rak (37) – Triveni Wingleader, rider of Bronze Bristith. See V’rak’s bio for more info.
Daughter; Jannike (13) – This Weyrbrat takes a great deal after both her mother and her father. Fiery like her mother and stubborn like her father, bad ends of both sticks!
Appearance: Her eyes are a muted green color, not blazing in bright colors of emerald or jade but carrying the more subtle, earthy tones of the forest. Rich gold striates the green, giving her gaze a warm sort of glow beneath thick, dark lashes. Her hair is straight, brightest red, and long, usually not worn in any sort of style save for when she rides, and only then does she pull back her tresses into a ponytail.
Her skin is softly tanned from a lifetime of riding in the sun, perfection, smooth…absolutely defying her 35 years of life. She is 5’6’’ of charismatic woman, coming in at a petite 120-lbs. No baby-weight here, though there will always be that flare in her hips.
Personality: Stubborn but often, she compromises herself for the happiness of others…especially Jannike or Jolith, who she sees as her heart and soul, collectively and separately. Sairi has a sense of humor to rival a child’s, always looking for new ways to amuse herself (much to Jolith’s vexation).
She’s deeply kind but definitely not an easy person to get along with, as her head-strong ways often make her clash with the males who would wish her to be more subservient. She’s energetic and has a good outlook on life, and she’s fiercely dedicated to her Wing. She takes her place in the Wing seriously. She’s a lover not a figh—okay, well, maybe she’s a fighter too…but all’s fair in love and war, right?
History: Unlike many children that were born around the same time as Sairi, this girl was well loved and well doted upon. Even though she saw little of her father –as he was often out on drills, and pranks and such—her mother was always there. And unlike the other children’s’ parents, her parents loved each other. This wasn’t a single affair that occurred to produce Sairi. Oh no, her parents wanted each other, wanted her. Something few children in the Weyr could brag about.
When she was old enough to wander on her own, she’d often watch her father’s Wing train and plan drills…ok, and the pranks! And it wasn’t long after that, she decided that she wanted to be like her zszfather. It was natural that many children would try to Impress, and Sairi was not excluded. Both parents were incredibly supportive of their daughter, both believing that women rode just as well as men. And Sairi believed that too.
It was a maturing experience to move alone to the candidate barracks when her time came. Surrounded by other boys and girls her age, Sairi wasn’t necessarily unique in many ways. She was friendly to all in her short time in the barracks until the candidates were taken out to the Sands when the clutch was ready to hatch. In a line of many, with only 10 hatchlings expected, Sairi was nervous. Very, very nervous. There were only three other girls in her age bracket. Four more girls in a world of mostly male riders. Three of those girls impressed little green hatchlings, one went back to the barracks. That one was not Sairi.
The girl was ecstatic at Impressing a green. She was ecstatic that she’d Impressed at all. The pairing was perfect, her little Jolith a missing piece of her. Of course, her parents celebrated the occasion with her at the Feast, and afterwards before she moved to the Weryling barracks to begin her training with Jolith.
Her training turns were smooth, only minor mishaps that happen to all riders and dragons. Short tumbles, tangled harness; the usual fixable problems. Sairi was intelligent and able and excelled in her class. She showed a lot of prospect for a Wing. The old Wingleader of the Triveni wing recruited the young woman for her discipline and self-control.

Dragon Info:
Name: Jolith
Age: 19
Color: Green
Appearance:
Jolith keeps her appearance meticulous, constantly grooming herself to make sure that her scales always shine emerald fire, that the gold accents always glitter, that her claws never have dirt wedged beneath them. She is approximately five tons heavy, though she is a fairly lithe creature.
Beneath the sleek, shining exterior of her hide, lithe muscles ripple and work in beautiful unison. Her wings are very proportionate and Jolith can boast that they are without scratches or tears, the skin woven between the bones so soft and delicate that one might think it to be silk. She sits mostly on her strong, powerfully-built rear legs, but to climb things like walls, she goes on all fours and using her tough claws as anchors.
Personality:
Jolith is vain, vain, vain. Snobbish. Self-absorbed. Egotistical. And yet beneath all that, she’s got a heart of gold and she’s a true-blue friend. Though she preens over herself and turns her snout up to everyone else, she’d be the first to get into the scuffle of a battle to protect Sairi or any of the other Wings.
Often times she argues with Sairi, nit picking over Sairi’s choice of clothes, activities, etc…more often than not, you’ll find her with her back to Sairi’s back to her, arms crossed and huffing breaths at one another. It’s kind of cute, really…because when it comes down to it, she’s there 100% for Sairi, and she absolutely loves her to death. Sairi is the other half to her whole, as well it should be.
History:
She was the last to hatch from her clutch, and in that moment, it was clear what sort of dragon Jolith would be. She scrabbled from her egg-shell casing and tumbled over the soft brown sand, landing on her bottom, large goldenrod eyes blinking up cutely as she stared at Sairi and Sairi stared back…and then the little dragon huffed as though she were being imposed upon instead of Impressed, and the rest…as they say…is history.
Despite her stuck-up nature, she fell head over heels for the little human who stared at her with such nervousness, such apprehension, such…affection. Sairi Impressed Jolith and from that moment on, Jolith was inseperable from Sairi’s side. Until she grew too big for the girl’s bed, she even slept with Sairi, curled up against her side like a docile little kitten…and stealing covers, of course.
As she got older, she could no longer fit into Sairi’s bed, and so eventually, Sairi would go outside to sleep with Jolith. It was just…comfortable…that way.
