Tascha's short figure was drawn quickly to Enald's side, sighing with joy as she picked up the child, holding it carefully.
"What have you decided to name her, My Lord?" She asked, cooing to the baby who giggled joyfully.
"Kimlye, Headwoman Tascha." Enald said formally- the naming and witnessing was short, simple, and merely a way of Enald saying that this was his child. "My daughter, the Lady Leshya's child."
The Headwoman responded with equal dignity. "Welcome to Telgar Hold, Kimlye, Daughter of Enald and Leshya."
That was all their was to the ceremony, and Tascha threw her dignity to the wind, making baby noises to the child, and moving slowly across the room, before handing her over to Leshya to feed.
"She's beautiful, my Lady."

Lesh smiled as she watched the naming ceremony. There could be no doubt that Enald was the father, but she saw no reason to protest this ceremony. And when Tascha began to make baby noises to Kimlye she couldn't help but laugh.
There was something that Tascha said that had bothered her, but right now, she could not quite place what it was, and she would worry about whatever it was later. For now, she took her daughter gladly and rearranged her gown to feed the little one, "Thank you, Tascha. And you know, you can call me Leshya. This isn't a formal setting, and I'd think we'd been through enough you can be more familiar."
"Perhaps, Lady Leshya." She winked, the two had become friends, but the woman maintained at least a little level of familiarity. "However, it is easier to maintain formality at all times than to risk slipping when it would be inappropriate."
Leshya rolled her eyes slightly, they'd had this conversation several times, but she did not pursue as her focus moved completely to her daughter and she began to feed the little one.

Enald watched, feeling a sort of love he'd never felt before. Oh, to be sure, he loved his wife- but now she was more than that. She was his wife, the mother of his child(children), and the Lady of his Hold.
And he realized, with a start, that he'd better start hardening his heart, because at this point, if she'd told him to increase the tithes to both Weyrs a tenfold, he would have done it.
He smiled to himself, as Leshya nursed his newborn daughter. His wife, his Leshya. He would no longer have to hear his father bather about finding a more fertile wife, nor console her- the birth had gone fine, and she would have more children.
For the first time in nearly twenty turns, the Lord and Lady's bedroom had a child born in it, and Enald had never felt this good before.
For once, everything was looking up.
