"Now is when you have to push.... You don't want that baby to sstay in there forever." Allior said. At this point Rory was supporting Nisha the only ways he could. He wondered how N'zule's hand was fairing. Allior was helping out on the other end of Nisha's body.
"When I say push you really have to push okay?" Birthing babies was not Allior's speciatly but she had done it herself a few times and helped a few other women but only rarely. She wished a Healer had been available for the poor girl's first birth.
Rory was staying calm and trying to reassure Nisha that this mean things were close to being over. He hoped things were, they'd been waiting impatiently for this child for months. Waiting was starting to be a word that Rory really despised.

N'zule was fairly sure his hand was completely crushed, and would never be saved after this, but he didn't care. Nisha looked worse than he did, he decided.
Nisha couldn't even scream at this point. She didn't want to push, but she didn't want to expend the energy to tell Allior that. So she pushed. And pushed. And pushed. Every time Allior said push, she did.
And at certain points she felt like she was exploding over and over again. And she screamed. She had no idea what was going on. But whatever it was, it was painful.
She was never going to have sex again.

Rory was scared for a bit there. Nisha was loud and he hoped not in more pain than need be. Some people were more tolerant of pain, like Allior and some people were very sensitive to it. Rory was more the latter himself. The shouting grew more intense as did the contractions.
Allior was the only one who appareased sure of what she was doing. The drudge was pleased that Nisha was listening. Every time she pushed she was that much closer.
"Alright, your doing great. That was the head. One more big push for the shoulders and you'll be pretty much done. Take a big breath now. And push." Allior thought the baby was a slight big for a first time mom and felt bad that the baby was most likely big due to extra time in the womb.

N'zule shook Nisha's hand free as she gave that last push that brought the baby screaming into the world. He had to admit, the child had the same lungs as Nisha did. And the child would surely be beautiful with it's curly headed mother, and sexy father.
Viscera, and the placenta were all over the baby, and it shouldn't have been beautiful, but it was. The child that had been warping his Niece's frame for months, well it was finally gone, and in it's place was a beautiful child.
Stepping sharply to get back to Nisha, who looked like she was about to start dozing, he smiled, and griped her shoulders loosely.
"Your child has all of it's fingers and toes." N'zule glanced up to look at Rory. "You're a mother Nisha, you're a mother. A mother of a proud baby boy."

Allior held the babe as it came out and while N'zule told his neice of the baby, she cleaned it off. Rory had gone over to help her and taking out a towel dried him of. It took him quite a while to get the baby in the outfit he had brought for him. Luckily the yellow pajamas fit well, with a little bit of room to grow in.
Embarrassed that he had taken so long, he brought the boy over to his mother. "Nisha, here, you should hold him..." He smiled warmly. "You were wonderful." Rory wasn't sure how to act, especially not with N'zule right there. He glanced briefly at N'zule's face. No doubt he still hadn't forgiven Rory.
"So what shall we call him?" He had brushed all his boy names aside this time, thoroughly expecting a girl since there were more women in his family then men. The boy was a pleasant suprise. Rory was kneeling next to where Nisha and the baby were. He could see Nisha in him already. Of course he did. All of Allior's children seemed to take after her more than their fathers. Maybe that was the way of it though he did know people who looked more like their fathers.

"It's a boy?" Nisha replied softly. She had a son. A child. A boy. She laughed, releasing all of her doubts and fears. She had a son. She'd given Rory a son. It may have ruined N'zule and Rory's relationship, but she'd given him something he'd never had before.
A son. A child.
When he was handed to her, small and red, with dark eyes(she hoped that he would receive Rory's gray ones), it was like impression had begun again. Faintly, she heard Barsamith humming lightly, though she had a feeling it was all in her mind.
"Nishor." She said softly, giving a name that Rory had chosen so long ago. She unlaced the front of her dress, feeding her child, just as she'd seen so many other women do. "His name is Nishor."
She smiled radiantly at N'zule, who was watching the baby with a look of rapture as well. "I hope you'll forgive his father." She said suddenly. "He's given me this."
N'zule nodded. "For you, my dear niece, anything."

Allior decided to stay out of the converation, though she was quite the busy body and heard most of it. She began to clean up some of the things she had used to help and waited till they had Nisha feeling good to ask them to move her. No matter how clean placental fluids were, Allior didn't want Nisha lying in it overnight.
Rory was too concerned about his new born son to realize what Allior was doing. He did watch as Nisah looked him over. Of course he was trying to keep some of his excitement down. He didn't want to overwhelm them. "Nishor it is. Welcome to the world, son." He spoke softly, already in love with the little one.
Nisha's next words shocked him a bit. Rory had not quite realized how N'zule and his estrangement was affecting N'zule's family. Allior had not said anything about how the boys were feeling about it but apparently it had been weighing on Nisha's mind. He hoped she didn't blame herself. Rory looked up at N'zule wondering what the greenrider was thinking. He couldn't really mean... well...Rory decided not to get his hopes up.
"Nisha, once he is done eating we are moving you off this bed, so that Allior can change out the sheets."He wasn't trying to rush her but he wanted her to sleep sooner than later. "You should sleep soon. No doubt your tired. In the meantime, do you want anything?"
