SNEEZE! Are you ill yet? (Jeyna)

Jeyna thought she was beautiful, Amneris blushed and couldn't help but smile rather foolishly at the other woman. Of course it was probably because Jeyna wasn't feeling well that she had said anything but it meant that she was attracted to Amneris. That was good news to a younger girl with a crush.

Labeth who had been ignoring the talk between riders was not listening in. Why do you not tell her if you like her?I... well... I ... Are you that afraid? It wouldn't be right for me to say anything Labeth. She's ill and I'd feel like I was being too forward.

"Oh but I can't not worry about you." Amneris said as reached for a redfruit. She watched Jeyna reach for the water. "If you need more water I'll get you some. Ragoth and I are going to make sure you rest. Whether you like it or not. Pixie is going to have to have me take care of her today and the dragons can be oiled by me as well." Amneris made it clear that Jeyna would be taking orders from her and Ragoth as she was ill.

Jeyna laughed warmly, "I'll rest, but I'm not going to sleep unless I'm actually tired. And missy, you need to be careful too. You are still recovering yourself, and if it looks like, for one moment, that you are pushing yourself too much, I'm getting up and dragging you back to bed with me."

She drank the water, not quite finishing the glass off in one gulp. "You're even cuter when you blush. I think I may have to make you do that more often." She smiled to her and then grabbed a redfruit as well, though she nibbled on that, really not having much of an appetite at the moment.

"And I'm definitely not worried about Pixie if you're giong to be taking care of her." She knew she was going to have a mess to clean up. Poor thing hadn't gotten to go outside in a bit, and no one could seriously expect the puppy to hold it this long!

"Labeth won't let me overexert myself. Besides I feel a lot better. Never sleep this much either. Four candlemarks is usually plenty." Amneris added, only sad that her guitar wasn't with her, then she would play for Jeyna. With the illness affecting her throat, she didn't trust herself to sing just yet.

After taking a bite of her redfruit, she nearly choked at Jeyna's words. The bluerider was being flirtatious and while she had been wanting her to be that way, she didn't want her to regret saying anything. Amneris finally swallowed the redfruit down and took a sip of water. "I'm sure you know exactly what to say to make girls blush." Amneris said, more as a compliment than anything else.

"Pixie will be easy. I'll even have her come snuggle with you while I clean." The little canine was looking more like Tipp now she was a little older. None of the pups were exact replicas of their mother. Good thing too, because then Amneris would have had to keep one. Pixie was going to be smaller but she would probably still be good at herding if Jeyna wanted her to learn.

"All right, but I'm going to keep an eye on you. You really do not need to push yourself, hun." She had to admit that she was kind of tired even though they'd slept for a good full night plus sleep. Of course, Amneris was recovered while Jeyna was not. She was just glad it was a small case.

Jeyna grinned at the young woman blushing, "Oh, but its so much more enjoyable with some than with others." Truth was, she sometimes even got pretty young men blushing, but that was just her. While the blue rider was simply not filtering any of her words at this point, there was little chance she'd regret what she said unless Amneris started avoiding her, but for the time being, she was not worried about that.

"Hmm, she's a good snuggly puppy. However, I'd really rather you came to snuggle with me. I can clean when I'm all better." Jeyna wasn't a neat freak, but she did keep her weyr reasonably neat, and would not mind too much cleaning up after the sweet little puppy or making up to Ragoth for ignoring her - though she never minded cleaning the blue.

"I won't." Amneris said and got out of bed, bursting with energy for the time being. She picked up the tray of food and carried it back to the table. Instead of asking Jeyna if she wanted more water, Amneris refilled her cup automatically. Luckily for Jeyna, Neris did not comment on the some being more enjoyable. She had assumed that Jeyna meant her to be one of them and it was better that way.

"I am just going to clean where she has made a mess already. We don't want her sleeping in her own mess." Amneris was quick about it. "Besides I had every intention of coming back to bed and snuggling with you when I'd finished." Neris winked at her as she brought the puppy over to her owner. "Pixie needs a little attention before she gets put back in her pen."

Neris didn't take long at all to clean up the puppy area. "If Ragoth doesn't need oiling, I just have to do Labeth, she's still growing a little." My hide is still doing well. There is a patch under my right wing...The green stated, she had a long time to think about what was bothering her and that spot had to have a patch of dry hide.

Oh, she definitely meant Amneris among the some. There was probably someone else who was almost as enjoyable, but at the moment, Jeyna could not think of who that might be, so she did not worry about it.

"Thank you." She was so thirsty. Probably from irritating her throat with the mild coughing and the slight fever. Immediately on the water being refilled she drank some more of it as she enjoyed watching the young woman bustle about.

"No, I suppose that would be very unpleasant for her." She accepted the little puppy and snuggled with her, "Yeah, the poor thing is probably wondering what's going on. I had tried to get her on a decent schedule." Why was she telling her that? Exciting information, change. "I think I can make due cuddling with Pixie while I wait."

She gently petted the little one while she moved over to the Green. "Take care of Labeth. Ragoth should be ok until tomorrow." Right, hun?

I am fine. I do not itch at the moment. I can wait. You need to be careful though, unless you do not want to be.

Jeyna blinked at the blue, her hand stopping on petting Pixie for a moment. Then she shrugged and continued the snuggling with her little puppy. "He says he's fine. He's not growing any more."

While Amneris got everything prepared to oil Labeth, she talked to Jeyna. "Luckily for us, Labeth is a green and not as large as the other dragons of the Weyr. She won't take as long to oil." Amneris took her time, especially under the dragon's right wing, which she had been complaining about.

It was probably a little over half a candlemark before Amneris had finished and already the Weyrling was growing tired. She put away the oiling supplies and then went to wash her hands. "Time for Pixie to have her breakfast." Amneris took the pup from Jeyna and brought her to her pen where there was food for her to eat.

Amneris was now a lot more tired than when she had awakened. She slipped into the bed once more. "Now I think cuddling would be a very good idea..." Labeth, who seemed to be watching them, began to close her eyes. She too was tired. Oiling felt good. I'm going to sun. The little green stood and walked to the outer portion of Ragoth's ledge. It was a good day for sunning.

Ragoth was picking up on the feelings from his Rider and while Labeth was not yet mature enough to catch his attention, the sense that he was getting from Jeyna made him look at the young green a little curiously. I think she will be quite a beauty soon...

That comment caused Jeyna to wake from the brief nap she did not realize she had taken, though it was followed by a smile. Her Rider already is.

Jeyna felt the loss of the puppy, though she didn't want her to miss her breakfast, so she did not protest. The Blue was just feeling a little more of a need to be comfortable than she normally felt.

When Amneris climbed into the bed, Jeyna sighed contently and wrapped her arms around the younger woman. "Mmm. Cuddling with you is a very good idea indeed. Best medicine the Healer could order."

Amneris smiled, and moved in as close as she could to Jeyna. This snuggling thing was something she could get used to, really easily. You want more than snuggling. I can tell... Yes but thats not exactly common knowledge. Besides, I don't want to be too forward...and she is ill... You humans are silly. If I like a dragon I tell him so. Its simple.

Slightly mortified by the fact that her dragon might be telling male dragons she liked them, Amneris asked. When did this male bonding become so interesting to you?Before you were ill. Ragoth is much more attractive than the Weyrling blues. Faranth help her, her dragon was acting like a teenager.

"Why are dragons such busy body, know it alls?" Amneris asked slightly annoyed that Labeth was keeping things from her. She thought they had a strong bond and now she wasn't so sure. The green had completely suprised her. Of course she was nearing a Turn and greens flew anywhere between a turn and four months to a turn and six months. She didn't want to think about being flown. It was scary. Amneris wanted to stay snuggled and protected.

"I think it has to do with listening to us think all the time." She held the young woman quite closely, content. While her mind and mouth were both being rather brazen - not something that unusual for the Blue rider, but she had decided to not move things like this with the young green rider - her body was tired and weak, and cuddling was all that could even consider wanting at the moment.

"They also think in simpler terms then we do. So things that seem complicated to us, are simple to them. Or so they think." She nuzzled 'Neris' hair briefly, "I'm half curious about what Labeth said to bring up that question." She grinned, "Don't worry, I'm not going to press. A Rider and her dragon should be allowed to have some secrets."

"Mmm... I hope you don't think I'm too rude if I fall asleep with you. Awfully comfortable right now and more tired than I'd like to admit."

"I know you are right but you'd think I would know my own dragon better. The fact that she has been doing things without my noticing... I feel like I'm not being a good rider." Amneris said though she wasn't really expecting any response. Jeyna was very tired. Instead of saying any more on the matter, Amneris smiled.

"You should sleep and I'm too comfortable to move. It can't be rude if I'm the one in your bed...which might I add is the most comfortable bed I've ever been in." I might sleep after a while myself...We can bond while your waiting to sleep. The view from the ledge is pretty but not many dragons are out right now. Most of their riders are sick or helping other people who are sick.

Someone says Beynath's is ill.MArisol? Thats horrible. She is soooo...soooo... Commanding.Commanding was a good word but she wanted to say it was more of a power thing. The Weyr would be different if the illness killed her, that much Amneris knew for certain.

Jeyna was tired, and while her fever was low, she was still feverish. She coughed lightly, turning her head away from Amneris to do so. She half mumbled, "It takes time. Still young and kind of new..."

She snuggled into the green rider, but was too tired to say what she was thinking You're welcome to be in int whenever you want.

Poor sick mine. You realize you did not say that outloud.

Ragoth was not even answered with a mental shrug as Jeyna was not able to fight to stay awake any longer. Instead she was fast asleep, cuddling to Amneris.

Amneris did not sleep for a long while after Jeyna did. She spent that time wondering about the future. Something she did on occassion. Day dreams were usually better because one could remember them. Labeth eventually dozed off on the sunlit ledge and by the time she woke back up it was almost nightfall.

Amneris took a nap in the afternoon hours but shortly after Labeth woke, she did as well. Would you like some dinner? Your stomach rumbles.Are you sure it isn't you who are hungry?My hunger is not as immediate as yours. I will need to eat tomorrow. She wondered breifly if it was wise to send Ragoth for more food without asking Jeyna. Then deciding she didn't really care and the dragon could refuse she had Labeth bespeak the blue, Ragoth, mine was wondering if you would mind...going to get food for yours and mine. No doubt yours will be hungry when she wakes.

Amneris didn't get up but she heard Pixie messing around in her pen. All this lying around, Amneris wasn't used to it. She didn't need much sleep and as much as she needed the rest, her body felt like it should be up and doing something.

I would be very glad to get food for both of them. Ask yours if she thinks she is ready for meat and thinks mine will be. It was hard to ascertain how well his sleeping Rider was doing for himself while she slept.

Jeyna did not tend to be a sprawler - well, that was not entirely true. When she slept alone, she did tend to sprawl pretty completely. However, she was a good bed partner and tended to be aware of where the other person and careful not to hog the whole bed. Unfortunately, normal never counts when one is sick, and while she still had an arm over Amneris, she was pretty well sprawled.

Her fever had broken though, and while she would be weaker than normal for a while - something which would well and truly humble the usually strong young woman, she was definitely on the road to recovery. About a quarter-mark after 'Neris woke up, Jeyna stretched and blinked. It took her a moment to remember everything and she groaned a bit.

Ragoth was not there, though Labeth and Amneris both were. Welcome back mine. Went to get food. Will be back shortly.

Jeyna took a moment before saying anything. Just taking a couple of moments to fully wake up. "While I am enjoying cuddling with you and like you in my bed, I'm so ready to get out of this weyr. I feel caged. You?"

A little meat would be fine I think,. Amneris told Labeth who in turn told Ragoth. This would be much less complicated if Jeyna were awake. Neris giggled to which her dragon tilted her olive green head. Today would have been a nice day to fly. It was sunny and very warm. Yes, it was a better day for sunning. Just wish more dragons had been around. Why do you care? You fell asleep long before I did. It was better than hearing you complain about being stuck inside forever.

The green was right of course. She shouldn't have been complaining. To think of the number of people dying from this, well she should be happy to be alive. When Jeyna woke up she was releived.

"YAY! Your awake!" The younger girl was happy because it meant Jeyna was better and because it meant she could get out of bed. "I dont think we will be allowed out just yet. Lets at least get out of bed...I feel a bit sluggish from all this lying around."
