Eisu followed the smaller boy in front of her through the tunnels that snaked beneath the stone of the Weyr. He had been kind enough to offer to show her a way to the infirmary without going outside in the cold where a snow storm currently raged. Eisu had a small wooden box with her that she carried in both hands and a small bag thrown over her shoulder as they finally turned to another curtained doorway which he moved aside for her.
Seeing the obvious structure of the Infirmary, Eisu smiled and thanked the boy, sending him on his way back to his mother. Walking inside, she took in the sights of curtained off beds on both sides before she came to a number of tables and a three more doorways. She had been in to see the Masterhealer stationed here yesterday, but had been sent away to settle into her room and become aquanted with the Weyr. She was now back and was ready to learn the Infirmary, where everything was kept and the patients who she would be offering care to.
Setting her wooden box down on the table, she put her bag down carefully next to it and went to the doorway she had learned was the Masterhealers office yesterday. Knocking she waited a moment and heard nothing inside. Sighing slightly, she looked around again before turning to the curtained door that was between the two wooden ones. Curious, she pulled it back and found a room full of shelves and bottles. Well there was a place to start.
Walking in, she opened the glow baskets inside fully and looked at what was available. It was a rather strange sight to be truthful. While she recognized nearly all of the bottles, she could not help but wonder at the organization. Three quarters of the room was clearly in a state of distress with no sign of any order what-so-ever while the other quarter, closest to the door, there had been some rather obvious attempt to sort out at least the most used of the medicines and supplies.
Thoughfully, Eisu retreated from the room. She would, in the spare time, finish organizing the rest of the room and taking inventory. Even so the room left her thoughtful. Why would someone take the time to organize only part of the room? The only reason she could find was that perhaps someone had only just begun what would become a rather large chore. Perhaps she was not the only new healer here at Telgar, but then why send the two separately. Eisu had not been sent with a Master, nor were there any other journeymen available as all the spares had been sent out the same day she had with news of the epidemic that was beginning to show on Pern.
Pushing open the curtain once again, she stepped out only to find herself bumping into a man only a few inches taller than her which made it perfect to bop the side of her head perfectly into his nose as she turned.
