K'dyn felt like his skin was the only thing keeping him in one place, which was a strange feeling for him. Maybe he had thought love, real love was impossible for him but not now. Now he thought it was possible but there was still a little voice in the back of his head that said he could get hurt.
Taking her hand to get up he smiled. He didn't want her to be cold on the walk back so he placed his arm around her and pulled her in towards him a little."We could go to my weyr though Ortath says it is a mess. I'm sure its not that bad..." Honestly, K'dyn couldn't remember when he had last cleaned only that he had cleaned at one point or another.
"Or we could get food if your hungry..."He really wasn't sure what to do next. His naievete might be considered a bad thing when it came to these situations. K'dyn didn't realize that like all people he was going to have to make mistakes to learn anything about love.

K'dyn pulled her in closely, and she wove her fingers through his on the arm that was over her shoulder. Kanoni was buzzing; joyous, happy thoughts filled her mind. She had been serious when she mentioned Yanth's flight. Actually, she had never really had a problem with the mating flight situation. She had adjusted quickly after making her home at the Weyr. But she was growing tired of having to shoo some randy rider out of her bed the morning after.
She giggled. "We can visit the kitchens if you like, but I'm not really hungry." She'd been eating a ton all day long in her stress. "But if you weyr's a mess, and Ortath doesn't want company," she said, winking, "we can go to mine. Right, Yanth?"
No problem. Ortath, you can come too, the little green said.

"Good answer, I'm not hungry either." K'dyn didn't think he would be hungry till his stomach settled down some. He was nervous, more nervous than he ought to be. Then she invited him to her weyr, though it only made him a little more nervous. He wouldn't let any of his nervousness show. K'dyn knew that how he responded now would mean a great deal to Kanoni.
"That would probably be for the best. Since Faranth knows the last time I cleaned my weyr." K'dyn hoped he didn't screw this up. I mean there were only so many times he coould make mistakes with her before she would decided to look for someone else. Women were like that.
I would love to join you Yanth. Ortath commented. It sure beat sitting around on his ledge alone. Besides he could keep an eye on his rider better this way.

Kanoni smiled. She was rather adamant about maintaining a clean room; it was a trait her mother had instilled in her. "A place for everything, and everything in its place," she would always say. When Kanoni had moved into the weyr, it was sparsely furnished and not at all decorated. Now, however...it was a comfortable, cozy place to be. She had built shelves for her things, mostly pretty shinies she found at the beach or in the woods. There was a rather extensive collection of seashells to behold that the greenrider was quite proud of. And, of course, the dragon stuff. She had a few little metal workings, mostly gifts from her family and gifts from the people of Pern she helped by assisting with rides and things of that sort. There were rugs on the floor, and her father had woven her a small tapestry, nothing grand, but still pretty, of a blonde girl on an emerald dragon. "I can't fathom where I got the inspiration," he had told her upon presenting it.
Excellent. Yanth moved over to accommodate a brown to share her ledge. A green's ledge was nothing to write home about, but it could still fit the two of them. The ledge and couch were the two places Kanoni was not allowed to clean. Yanth liked there to be a little sand to scratch her hide on, and if she got dirty, she'd just go bathe in the lake. Kanoni didn't like it, because it was unnecessary filth, but if it made the dragon happy, she'd let it stay.
"You'll have to pardon Yanth's 'room.'" Kanoni grimaced. "She likes it filthy."
Shh, you.
The rider guided them to a familiar wing: Zahra wing. Kanoni was proud to call this hallway home.

He'd been in Kanoni's weyr before but generally it was as a friend and he was usually in some sort of trouble. Now there would be different expectations. He decided it would be best if he didn't think about what being invited to her weyr meant. K'dyn knew there was no turning back from where he was now. Before he said anything he looked down at her blonde hair and smiled a slightly cocky smile.
"Home sweet home." He said as they walked down Zahra Wing's corridor of weyrs. Ortath had just left his ledge, commenting that it was nearly cold as Between out there. Boy did he know. It felt good to be inside. As much as he was used to the weather at Telgar he had to admit he preffered the fall and spring to the winter and summer. Summer was too hot, winter too cold.
Ortath landed next to the green though he did not touch, for he was covered in the goop they used to keep his hide maintained. Except for a couple patches where they were trying some knew ointments out. Pardon my appearance, they are trying to fix my hide. You are well I hope? The dragon asked Yanth, though feeling slightly embarrased for his hide.
