There will be a lot of people. A lot, a lot, a lot. And most of them will ooh and aah all over you because you are a dragon. At least that was how Jeyna always described it. She was seemed amused by all the oohing and aahing. However, Ragoth quite enjoyed the making over him that happened when he and Jeyna went to a hold - especially a minor hold - to Search. Most will be nice, but there will definitely be a lot of people. Especially young ones. He might not remember specifics, but it happened often enough that he knew the general idea.
"She has settled in, though I think I'm going to need your help to get her weyr broken. I'd prefer to let her have the run of the weyr when I'm not here, rather than having to put her in the pen. Though there's a decent amount of room there and she seems content as long as she water and toys and bones and a soft place to sleep when she wants." Maybe there was no need to change what worked, but Jeyna hated keeping anything caged. Plus, it would be good if she could get Pixie to tell her when she needed to go out rather than having to grab her up at the last minute or even after it was too late.
"Ragoth loves her. Sometimes when I'm here, so she's out, I find Pixie curled up in Ragoth's tail. Its cute."
She is sweet. I like her. And having her seems to make you happy.
"He says having her makes me happy and he likes her." She grinned at the Dragon who had turned his attention from the green just briefly, but was now back to giving the young Green his attention.

Good. They should admire us. More importantly they should admire her. The green was not modest in the slightest way and wasn't about to change in that respect. Young people are easier to talk to...She had made this observation from talking to youngre people at the Weyr versus older ones. People weren't used to a dragon who was so vocal. Of course she couldn't remember half the people she talked to.
"I never really had to train Tipp, she was an outdoor canine most of her younger years since the Harpers wouldn't let me keep her inside. Note, also spent her puppy years outside. I think if this is working you needn't change it but if you wwant her to understand that outside is for pottying than it would be best to let her outside as frequently as possible. At least until her bladder develops fully."
Amneris watched the dragons as Jeyna spoke of Pixie. "Dragons are funny about pets. Some of them like them and some of them don't. Labeth liked the pups for a time but they began to annoy her."

Ragoth did not usually try to go against the only your Rider convention, though he'd heard talk of a person at the weyr who could hear all of them. He thought he might try that one day. He wasn't against talking to other people, just he really had no reason to. At the suggestion that younger people were easier to talk to than older people he nodded, though he did not really know himself. Good to know. Mine will help me remember that if I need to. If he thought about the fact that it was easier to tell impressible candidates among the younger, he would hve realized she was right, but that was beyond dragon logic.
"Hmmm... I'm not sure I want to subject her to being outside in this weather. Though maybe it is worth it. I clean up behind her whenever I come back to the weyr, otherwise the smell... is just very unpleasant." She chuckled as the puppy rubbed against her hand for some pettings.
Jeyna smiled and looked over to Ragoth and then back to 'Neris. "He won't admit it, but he did get annoyed with he when we first had her. She would wake up yipping a lot and needed a lot of attention. But now that shes doing better, he doesn't mind. And Labeth is still young. Its natural for her to be jealous of your attention at this point. Most dragons do outgrow that."
