"However," Enald said, seriously, "You are concerned, so we must think about doing something for your piece of mind."
Lapsing into silence, the Lord considered his options. Shifting slightly so that his body wasn't in the uncomfortable position it had assumed at first, Enald chose his words carefully.
"If it truly means a good deal to you, we could consult a Healer at the Hall. Our stead is good enough, I trust," Enald's mouth twisted sardonically, "That we still have good enough credit with the Dragonriders to receive a ride to consult with a Masterhealer?" It was almost a joke, though perhaps to serious to be treated as one. He waited for a response.

Leshya smiled at her husband. "Thank you for taking me seriously, Enald."
She continued to stroke his hair as he shifted. Though as he offered to go to a healer, she'd frown and her hand would stop stroking his hair.
For a moment she just sat there silently and then swallowed. When next she spoke her voice was very soft, almost a whisper. "And what if they say I can't have a child, Enald?"
She knew he needed an heir. She knew it was her duty to give him one. And she wanted a child, not just because she needed to have one, but because she wanted to be a mom, and she knew Enald would be a good father.
But it scared her that maybe she couldn't. She loved Enald. She did not want him to have to divorce her. She knew she couldn't ask him to step down and just be happy with a lesser hold with her. And she wasn't sure she could accept him having a bastard, even if she took the child as her own.

"I'll adopt Torent's son as ours." It was said simply, and honestly. He wasn't going to adopt his brother- the man would be a terrible Lord Holder, and to be perfectly honest, Enald wasn't even sure if his brother should be considered for a Minor Hold. That, however, was a subject for another day.
"And you must think of other side of things. It's probably something as simple as you're body needing more," He paused here, trying to remember causes of impaired fertility. "Mushrooms, or something of the sort."
He knew how much she hated the fungi, and while he was unsure if it could actually effect fertility, he doubted she would either. He was also aware that if she asked a maid, at least one of them would swear by mushrooms, as most had country relatives with odd ideas of how the world worked. It was amazing how these things worked.
In his mind, he'd already decided that she was under to much stress to conceive, and wondered if it would be possible to take a holiday. It would be nice spending time with her.
He looked up at her, looking hopefully at her hand. It had felt so nice earlier, after all.

He would feel her entire body relax at his answer. She hadn't even thought of that as a possibility. She couldn't even answer, but she was elated. A tear of relief would roll down her cheek.
When he suggested that maybe she needed more mushrooms, she would wrinkle her nose, "Ugh." Though if a Masterhealer said that she needed to eat mushrooms to conceive, she'd do it. She'd hate it. But she'd do it. "That's just mean..."
When he looked up at her, and at the hand that had stilled, she laughed softly and would resume stroking his hair. Now that he had eased her fears, she was able to smile again. "Do you have much more work you need to do tonight?"

"Nothing pressing," Enald replied truthfully. He didn't bring up the HealerHall again, trusting Lesh to make her own decisions. If she wanted them to see someone specialized, he was well aware that she would make the necessary arrangements herself. That didn't phase him though- it was nice to have someone who could do what was needed, who didn't need to be reminded twenty times.
"Why do you ask?" He continued, eyes closing lazily as she continued stroking his hair. It felt very, very, very nice.

She chuckled, "Cause I wondered if you would be interested in um... trying to make a baby tonight. Even if I haven't eaten enough musrooms to conceive." Shards she hoped that was not what she needed to do.
And now that she was not as worried about the worse case scenario, she would make arrangements to go to see a Healer. While she hoped mushrooms were not the answer, it might be that there was something she could do to facilitate the process. And the Healers could tell her if there was.
"Besides, if you fall asleep with your head in my lap, I don't think I can quite carry you to bed." There might be women whose physical strength came close to that of men, but Leshya was definitely not one of them.

Enald stood up smoothly, with a light gracefulness that bespoke a very serious interest in helping his wife create the baby she wanted so very much. Face creasing slightly as a smile broke out, Enald stretched slightly.
"Sounds like a wonderful idea." He remarked, offering her a hand up from her seat. "In fact, I don't think I could think of a better thing to do." He bent slightly to give her a quick kiss, and smiled sweetly. Lesh really was looking lovely tonight- he supposed her vulnerability was probably just being very appealing then, and he chuckled. He thought of lifting her off her feet, and carrying her off to their chambers, but decided against it. Lesh probably needed to keep up her facade of total respectability.
Offering her his arm, the Lord sauntered back to their rooms, hoping that his wife would get what she wanted. Today had been a very interesting day.
