Gidian had recently returned from his brief visit to Telgar Weyr. He had gone to help relieve the stress put on the limited number of Healers there. He had no trouble being at the WEyr and enjoyed the loose morals, when it came to relations. No one here would say that outloud. For all that Gidian was a handsome man he was also said to be happily married. His wife, Lark, had bore him several children though not all of his children are hers. He has two children at Telgar from an affair with a greenrider. The rest of his children are either grown adn moved away or reside at the Healer hall. Lark's first five children were girls, and then they had their one son, but the apple of Gidian's eye is his youngest daughter, Laran.
Gidian, contrary to popular belief does care for his family. He spends a lot of time away from them as he is a very busy person. Gidian has spent his life studying and focusing on diseases. These past two plagues have kept him away more often. This speciality has made him a favorite of the Master Healer of Pern. So tonight, when he ought to have been at home with his wife and children, Gidian was working late.
He was about to go for the night when he saw that someone had left the main infirmiry a complete disaster. Probably some low ranking moron. He began to look around for the culprit but soon realized that person had most likely left already. He was a Master, he shouldn't have to clean this disaster area up. Bloody towels, used tools, did no one realize how unsanitary that was? Ugh, all these people needed another lesson in the spread of disease, which he'd be more than happy to give them. He went to the fire and made sure to heat some water up. Hot water would be useful... Where was a drudge when one needed one?

Dilan just happened to be taking a jaunt down to the infirmary at that very moment. He had something of a sore throat and was on his way to fix it, although you wouldn't know it to look at him. The apprentice was just strolling along, whistling tunelessly. He'd had a pretty good day, what with some very interesting lessons and some very boring ones with some very lovely fellow students, one of which he'd just left an empty classroom with. Oh yeah, it had been quite a good day.
Upon reaching the infirmary, though, the whistle died. Uh-oh. Looks like someone had left a mess - not only a mess, but a very upset Master Gidian. That seemed like a very volatile mixture, there. Not good - and here all Dilan wanted was some wintergreen to sooth his throat.

He whirled around when he heard footsteps behind him. Gidian stood looking down on the person with a determined look in his piercing blue eyes. "You there. You've just walked into a new chore." He said, in a serious voice. "This may not be either of our mess but since we are here, I think you'll agree that this is unsanitary. If not I can always give you a lecture on the spread of illness."
Gidian felt that people just didn't care. What was in it for him to clean this up? Nothing, except the satisfaction of keeping the infirimiry sterile. This was of upmost importance. If the Masterhealer heard about this then someone would be in serious trouble. It was probably that Master Narwina. Couldn't trust a woman crafter.
"First things first, apprentice. Take any cloths and put them in this pot. I'll gather the other tools." He left the water to boil. When he picked up the tools that were dirtied and placed them in the second spare pot. The first one now being used by the apprentice. He went to the one with the boiling water and poured some into the one with the utensils. "The nerve of some people to leave the infirmiry in such a state..."He muttered.

Suwert heard some comments coming from the infirmary and chuckled quietly. He walked down the hall and stood in the door, looking over the scene of much industry. He motioned for Black to stay at the door as he entered, his cane making a noticable sound as he walked. He had been walking around to get to know the hall. He wasn't sure what he could do to help out with this mess but he figured he could at least see what he could do. He tapped his cane on the floor to draw attention and then quietly asked, "Anything I can do?"

Relanell roved the halls with his short but precise steps. It felt good to be back in the old Hall, and the ever present grin upon his boyish face announced his pleasure towards his surroundings. The Journeyman soon came upon a bit of commotion around the infirmary, and his grin widened slightly as he took in the scene from the doorway beside Suwert. "Take care of another bothersome apprentice in here, did you, Master Gidian?" Relanell laughed lightly as he surveyed the bloody tools and rags. Sloppy, something 'Nell himself never approved of, though he did enjoy providing a bit of humor for his fellow healers.
Next 'Nell focused his attentions and his grin on the younger man standing in the doorway beside him. The Journeyman quirked an eyebrow as he looked up to the taller man, "And who is this? An apprentice willing to jump in a help? Well, you're a rare breed, my friend! I'm Journeyman Relanell."
"And who is your captive, Master Gidian?" The Journeyman looked to the other apprentice who did indeed appear as if he had been forced into this unsavory task. Without waiting for an answer from the Master, 'Nell spoke again, "You'll need rags and bits to clean the mess off the floor. I'd say you're a fair bit taller than me, friend" Relanell grinned as he spoke to Suwert again, "Would you mind reaching into the high cabinet there and grabbing some rags?"

Master Gidian was not at all suprised at seeing another apprentice arrive. They were often sent to get things from the infirmiry. However a helpful one was hard to find. "Yes. Take a bucket of hot water and clean cloths and wipe down the exam tables." He said with a clear and commanding tone. Gidian was well into his fifties and he knew exactly the inner workings of the Healer Hall.
When Journeyman Relanell showed up he watched him distract one of the apprentices that were helping HIM. "These apprentices were simply here when I needed help getting this mess cleaned up. If I catch who did this, they better hope I don't flay them alive."
He had no trouble with being called mean or rude. In fact he rather thought that being those things went hand in hand with having authority over people. Gidian didn't answer who the young men were, figuring that they would be better off saying their names and Gidian only remembered important names. What names were important, other masters, some journeymen and always beautiful young ladies.

Suwert smiles slightly and replies to Relanell, in a quiet tone of voice, "My name is Suwert, senior apprentice from Telgar Hold." He works his way over to the cabnet, being carefull with his cane. It quickly becomes obvious that he needs the cane to move around at a reasonable speed. He removed the towels from the cabnet and set them down where everyone could reach them. He then retrieves a bucket of water and places it where he can reach it and goes to work cleaning, using only one hand as he leans on his cane.
Suwert tended to agree with the master. Leaving an infirmary a mess was something that just shouldn't be done. He was just glad he wasn't going to have to clean it by himself. He would have needed to get some help if the others weren't there. He just wasn't physicaly capable enough to do some of the work.
