K'nor woke early in the morning he wanted to make sure that everything was set up for the Weyrlings since this would be their first lesson. He was proud of what he was going to be doing with the kids since he would teach them what they would need to know, how to care for their Dragons, and why they heard the voice in their minds and not verablly like human speech.
He looked at the sleeping forms of the youngsters both Dragon and human he hoped that he would see them in a few moments. He went back to the Classroom and set up the rest of the lesson, he wanted them to have fun but also understand the seriousness of impressing.
Weyrlings! Wake up Lessons! Kintrath yelled at the signal from His he was more than happy to wake the sleeping Weyrlings. Since they needed to learn.

Svarth jumped from slumber at the loud cry of Kintrath, immediately the little bronze began to mutter furiously and proceeded to nip his still slumbering rider. If Svarth had to be awake for lessons at such an egg forsaken hour then so would D’wyr.
D’wyr rolled lazily out of bed complaining at the nip.
Lesson was the only answer the little bronze gave showing his displeasure at being awake and unfed at such an hour.
D’wyr threw on his clothes and set down the hall to the Weyrling classroom, with Svarth trotting grumpily behind. They entered the classroom, gave their greeting and plopped down unceremoniously.

Weyrlings! Wake up Lessons! The little Gold sighed inwardly. Why? What a waste of a perfectly good doze. She stretched before her own rider had returned to their part of the Barracks. She had a roll in her hand that she was nibbling at as she went. Laszreen had been up for a good candlemark already. Her father had always stipulated that rising earlier meant one could get more done.
Elfreth took her time in telling her rider about Kintrath's request. Kintrath has called us to lessons. Along with everyone else, I'm sure. The Gold didn't mind being around the other dragons as long as they treated her as she deserved. Laszreen made sure not to look any different than the other Weyrlings. Her har was braided into one long braid so as to keep her hair out of her way. There were a few stray strands of hair, however that continued to bother her.
The classroom was large enough for all the weyrlings and their dragons at this age. Eventually the dragons would be too big. Elfreth, being the largest of her clutch would outgrow this classroom sooner than the others. The pale Gold walked, still unsteady on her feet, with her rider to the classroom. They arrived promptly and only one person was there before them. Svarth and D'wyr.
----
The brown slept quietly, his rider snuggled up next to him on his ledge, rather than on the bed. Though the Weyrlingmaster's dragon called him the same time as everyone else, Laerth was lazy. He woke himself up slowly before telling his rider that they had been summoned to Weyrling class. "At this hour?" H'rzet moaned, while stretching his back. With a loud yawn he stood up and addressed his issue of wardrobe by throwing on one of his plain white shirts.
His hair was growing a little and looked scruffy from having been slept on. H'rzet didn't care this morning that he looked like he had just rolled out of bed, because in fact, he had. Laerth took his time getting up and reminded his rider about shoes. "Oh, right, they are under the bed, I think." No. Over to the side. Other side.Laerth said with a mental yawn.
He was not a morning dragon. Besides what could be better than a nice nap? Unless it was food. He liked food but he didn't want to eat a lot either. "At least we'll be there before some lazy greenrider. They are known to be the worst wingriders. Its a good thing you are a brown. We have all the best qualities without the pressure of Bronzes." Laerth could not agree more as the pair made their way into the classroom only to find that the Bronze and Gold of the Clutch were the first ones there. Well they were supposed to be there first, they were leaders.

"Thank you riders for coming you have obviously discovered that the Dragons have a very interesting way of rousing you from slumber. Who of you was bitten by there dragon? Also Laszreen I'm very proud to see that you impressed to the lovely Elfreth." K'nor complimented the newest Goldrider hoping that he would never have do anything but teach the girl what she needed to do.

D’wyr suppressed a growl at the mention of biting and tossed an unhappy glare at Svarth. Of course the little bronze looked back at him with such innocence that the result was comical. Svarth’s tail flicked hard enough against D’wyr that he stood startled in reflex, though to most it would appear as if in answer to the question of biting. And again the little bronze fixed him with eyes a whirl of green and blue.
No one could stay angry at a face like that, and Svarth used it to his advantage. You will feed me after lessons won’t you D’wyr?
He sat back down as the Weyrling master complemented Laszreen.

H'rzet was more than pleased that he had not had the pleasure of a waking bite. Laerth would have to have more energy in the morning to use his mouth to wake his rider. Besides the two of them were ready in about the same amount of time. H'rzet looked like he had rolled out of bed, into some clothes and out the door. Which was what had happened, pretty much. He was feeling a bit hungry but the growl in his stomach would have to wait.
His brown waited impatiently, the tip of his tail twitching back and forth. What do you suppose we'll be studying today?H'rzet could only answer with a shrug of his shoulders. The nineteen turn old hoped they wouldn't be doing anything physically demanding for a while. As it was he was tired and hungry, no use exhausting him at this point.
Then of course, Laszreen, got congratulated. He'd love to point out that she had practically beat him up in the Weyrhall and should not be recieving compliments but that would bring up a sore point. He loathed her above other women and sincerely hoped that dragon of hers was the death of her.
-----
The Gold and her rider were equally pleased by the praise, though the dragon was more likely to show that she was. Elfreth had no idea that the other riders were hating her rider so much for that. Laszreen could feel the stares. The eyes of the people around her were like daggers. She didn't let on that she felt different or even hated. "Thank you Weyrlingmaster K'nor. Send my greetings to Kintrath." Laszreen said about as warmly as she could manage, which wasn't exactly warm to other people.
Elfreth had no cause to bite her rider, for Laszreen had been up early. Early risers were best because one got more work out of them. Laszreen fully expected to work well and hard for the Weyr. Perhaps she might seem to be a workaholic but Laszreen knew that that was exactly what being a Weyrwoman entailed, especially with only two Weyrwomen. Some Weyrs had three or four, five was unheard of though they had the capacity.

A'kere, who had stayed awake late that night whispering little terms of affection to his lovely Nayath, had appeared at some point during K'nor's compliment of Laszreen. He ignored the going ons of the rankers, and H'rzet in favor of scratching away at the various sensitive points of Nayath's green body. His eyes, brown and blue, had shadows below them, and he carefully contained a yawn.
Sleepyhead. Nayath's soft voice bubbled humorously in A'kere's head, with no reproach at all. A'kere's grin was the only return comment.
Food later? The Green was content at A'kere's nod. She understood, perfectly, completely, her Rider, and understood that he didn't want to draw attention to them, not yet. She wanted too, but could wait, would wait; anything for her Beloved.
They both watched the class carefully, and waited for it to begin, both wondering how they would start their life together.
