She would kill that blue. She would rip his head off, and feed it to his mourning dragon, and then thread the both of them, and when it was all done, she'd spray them down with her flame-thrower.
That was what she would do to that stupid, thoughtless, idiotic Bluerider who of all the stupid things to do challenged a Brownrider(in the Brownrider's own weyr!) to a duel, and then, drunken and stupid, the bluerider won the duel, and in the process pushed, T'keal she believed, off his ledge, and killed him. And his brown. She'd only vaguely known the brownrider, but that didn't matter.
She wanted to kill that Bluerider. They did not have enough Brownriders for him to be running around challenging them to duels, and killing them.
But she wasn't allowed to punish him. Because this was a Wing issue. Ha! Of all the dumb things she'd ever heard: as if some Wingleader would be the fear of Thread into the blueriders head? She thought not!
Pacing back and forth, Jen considered what she would do to that Bluerider if she got her hands on him, and wondered if her cactus would be helpful or not. She snapped out of her blood thirsty daze when she heard a noise in the halls, and hastily straightened her short red dress, and hoped she didn't look too crazed. Though she wondered who'd be disturbing her at this hour.

A'stin walked throught the corridors at a complete loss for what happened. Thats what was wrong with the Weyr. The fighting amongst eachother. It had to stop. He was going to put an end to it, if it meant having a talk with Jen. Shaye wouldn't like it but Jenafa had a lot of sense most of the time and no doubt she was the one handling this situation.
The Weyrleader rapped lightly on the door and walked in. He wasn't the sort to wait for an invitation. Not with an intimate friend. All emotions aside, he spoke as formally as he would to a fellow Wingleader, though obviously he felt more reverence for Jen. "Jenafa. We need to talk about the situation from earlier today. I don't want you to worry to much about it but I could use your counsel." He wasn't so high and mighty to think the Weyrwoman were below him. He actually felt the opposite of that most of the time. When it came to other men though that was a different story. After all, he was better than they were. Even more so than that little J'var who won Jenafa. Only by a little, he reassured himself.
"T'keal was not only a member of the Weyr but a member of my Wing. I told B'rek earlier to arrange a meeting with the Wingleaders. This is not to go unnoticed and the bluerider will be punished severely. If we didn't need every rider we have, I'd send him away..." He wasn't going to be doing anything pleasant and all his free time was going to be put to use. If he wasn't sleeping , they would find something for him to do. Since he had enough time on his hands to duel.

Relaxing slightly when she realized who it was, Jen listened to A'stin speak his piece, then muttered something about sending him to Telgar and her breeding up the slack under her breath. Not that she would ever admit to saying something like that.
"Do we know why they were fighting?" Jenafa asked, sounding surprisingly calm. "Because if this bluerider is an," Her lip curled, "activist in blue and greenrider rights, we'll have to tread carefully."
At least A'stin counseled with her, Jen thought seriously. Many of the Bronzeriders wouldn't even think of doing such a thing. She moved to the front of her desk, and perched on it, no mean feat for a woman who was six feet tall, and looked over A'stin carefully.
"Blues are flighty dragons. Make sure Saharth is there to calm the blue when we give the rider a proper beating."

"No one has come forward with any of that information yet. We cannot know for sure what instigated the duel until I get that information. Believe you me, I will get it." A'stin was not going to let anything slide while he was Weyrleader. He may be young but he wasn't foolish or stupid.
He slumped down in one of her chairs. It had already beena stressful few days and now this. "I wish it were only blue and green riders, becuase at least their dragons must answer to the Golds. Unfortunately these 'activists' have a lot of support from the Lower Caverns." A'stin felt like everything and everyone felt like turning against him. Shaye wasn't speaking to him at all, the Weyr was reduced to killing eachother in foolish duels and there were reports of a possible Holder uprising.
"Shaye has been behaving rather odd lately and therefore I'd be much obliged if you avoided telling her of this meeting. I do want to know what advice you have. However I must also make sure that the punishment fits the crime."
