After the last girl had left he looked over the very last greenrider on their list. Nisha. Another woman, another possible liability in the air and she seemed to have lived as a Weyrbred woman ought to before impressing. At least it sounded like she was dependable.
E'riol looked around at the other two Wingleaders. "Ready?" They both had seemed to like the last girl, for their Wings, which made him wonder where this next greenrider would fit. "Nisha of green Barsamith. The weyrlingmaster said she had a calming affect on many of the riders in her Weyrling class and was a pleasure to have. Barsamith is an excellent flyer."
She really was a good candidate for any wing, but he would think someone with that calm about them would do well in Pyralis or Triveni. That was his opinion besides he already had a good five greenriders he thought would be suitable for Zahra. He waited for the next Weyrling to enter. This day seemed to only be getting longer.

Nisha had thought long and hard about what to wear to her wing interview. The leathers that had been recently created for her to ride in? One of her fancy dresses? A working dress? Each one would say something different about her, and would probably effect where she went. At least she didn't have to worry about her hair: it only did one thing.
The Greenrider had spent at least an hour debating, trying on, and changing her mind on what she might have settled on, and finally, after a goodly debate, she decided on the fancy dress, wanting to state that she was a woman, wanted to be a woman, and accepted her place in life. And she put on the blue dress, laced it up, and was literally walking out the door, when her uncle N'zule arrived, took one look at her dress, and forced her to change back into her leathers.
And thus, she stood in front of the Wingleaders, dressed in her leathers, completely unadorned, and feeling dreadfully nervous. She didn't look into anyone's eyes, staring down at the ground, none of the sass and sparkle that she sometimes displayed anywhere in sight.
