It had been a long morning, though at least there hadn't been any classes yet. Her family, especially N'zule wanted to talk to her about her first Flight, and then they commenced to teasing her. She'd spent time with Barsamith, and checked her over for any injuries(pulled muscles, strains, sprains), or anything that might turn into an injury if not treated. Luckily, it looked as though everything was fine.
So, after her adventure filled morning, it was finally noon. It wasn't that long until her class had lessons with M'ren(theoretical classes, if she remembered correctly). So she moved into the Weyrhall, gathered a plate of food, and a mug of tea, and took a seat at the Weyrling Tables. She often sat with her family, but given the teasing they'd be giving her all that week, it seemed like a better idea to eat here.
Taking a bit out of her vegetables, she fingered the seams of her pants. While she preferred skirts and dresses, being a rider meant that she would need to become used to pants, especially leather ones. It didn't mean she'd have to like them though. On her second bite of vegetables, she glanced around the table, wondering who else was eating.

G’eph couldn’t help but feel the eyes of the tall blonde several people behind him look over his body again. The dark sailor had grown used to the weyrfolk giving him a second look, but he still smiled at the attention. Picking up the plate he gave the kitchen drudge a nod and made for the open Hall, glancing back to see that the blonde was still watching him. Maybe it was just an increased self-confidence since the flight Varanth had won that put the sailor in good moods, but he didn’t mind.
Entering the Hall, he stopped for a moment to scan the tables. Instantly his eyes caught sight of the curly hair of a certain green rider. Tilting his head to one side for a moment, he completely forgot the blonde as he toyed with thoughts of the brunette. Ah, but he had promised to keep things comfortable. Very well, he thought, I’ll just sit where I can see.
With that he found a seat at the long table next to hers and sat himself so he would barely have to turn his head to see her face.
By the shell, Varanth. If I didn’t know better I’d swear she was not the same woman in my class. Your being silly. Of course she is. I know, but… I’ve never had such problems getting a woman off my mind.
Then again he had never won a flight before, he admitted to himself. Yes, that’s it. It must simply be a lingering effect of the flight.
But damn did she look good.

Nisha, still eating vegetables, had the sudden, uncomfortable feeling that someone was staring at her. She glanced around, swiftly, but didn't spot anyone right off the bat. How frustrating. Chewing slowly, she ran her fingers through her hair, and wondered who'd be staring at her.
No one.
However, the vague sense of unease wouldn't go away, and so Nisha decided to get some tender, loving care from Barsamith. Contacting her green, Nisha continued eating, and used the conversation from Barsamith to distract her from her suspicions about someone watching her.
It was probably just a family member, or something like that.

The tall blonde couldn’t help it. There was something about the unusually tall, dark man that had caught her eye. And best of all, he seemed to be in a good mood as he had been smiling in line and as he left for the Hall. Watching him as she was, she couldn’t miss the obvious sign of his attention being caught by another.
Careful as she walked to find who it was, Elra finally spotted a curly haired brunette.
Gosh, she’s a rather pretty little thing isn’t she? Elra thought to herself. Looking back to the dark man, she knew his attention was completely on the woman. Well that didn’t mean it was a lost cause yet. Elra knew she could be eye catching as well.
Finding much of the table around the other woman empty, Elra took the seat right next to her. Putting an awarding smile on her face, the blonde turned to the woman even as she made sure to be turned just right so the man could see the smile as well.
“Hello. I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but you’ve got an admirer.” She said, softly enough so the man would not be able to make out their words. Elra wondered if the woman would be the confident sort who would enjoy such attention. If so, Elra could now see from her closer position that she might be a bit harder pressed than she thought at stealing the man’s attentions. The woman had wonderfully beautiful brown eyes.

Nisha blinked, someone sitting down next to her, and talking to her, knocking her out of her Barsamith induced reverie. Her right hand tugged on a loop of curly hair.
"What?" She asked, needing a second to translate what the blond: Nisha glanced at the girl's shoulder knots, Candidate wanted to talk to her about. An admirer? The Greenrider thought next, looking at the girl next to her closely. Pretty woman, Nisha considered, but probably straight, and she didn't appear to be coming onto her. Meaning the 'admirer' she was talking about was from somewhere else.
"No, I hadn't noticed." Nisha was slightly startled, but she kept it to herself, remaining calm. "Who and where?" She hoped it wasn't who she thought it was. However, of the people likely to gaze lustfully at her, none of her old bedmates would do it from afar, and the newest bed mate from this morning just might. A flash of G'eph's naked body raced through her mind, before she firmly pushed it away.

G’eph watched mesmorized as the green rider played with her curly hair as she spoke with the woman who sat next to her. The sailor had noticed it was the blonde who had been behind him in line, but his mind was far from her now. No, it seemed that once Nisha caught his mind she kept it completely to herself.
A motion from the blonde almost went unnoticed until it brought Nisha’s eyes toward him. Quickly turning his head downward to look at his food, the sailor felt ashamed at being spotted staring. The shame, however, lasted only a second before his eyes raised again to Nisha as he remembered the way she her skin had felt beneath his touch.
~~~
“The tall one.” Elra answered easily as she lifted her hand to point across the young woman toward the man who had caught her own attentions. “Over there, dark complexion.”
She watched the man as he quickly looked down and smiled to herself even as the eyes came back up. “Well look at that, he doesn’t seem too worried about being caught, he’s already looking again.” Turning her attentions back to the brown eyed woman next to her, she tilted her head. “Do you know him?”
Nisha peered over, and kept herself from choking. Oh yes, it was G'eph. She tugged on a curl, blushing from embarrassment. He was just as good looking as he'd been that morning, but at least this time he was wearing clothing. The Greenrider stared down at her plate resolutely, before actively looking at the candidate, and refusing to return her stare to the Brownrider.
That morning, she'd been planning on making his day one of lust, and disappointment. That had been rash, but she had to admit, his watching over her made her want to find an old buddy and commence to making out with them, in front of him. Just to show him that she, Nisha, Rider of Green Barsamith could have whatever she wanted. And that she didn't want him anymore. Too bad the candidate girl was probably straight.
"G'eph." Nisha told the girl. "He's a Brownrider in my Weyrling class. He caught my Barsamith in her first Flight. That's probably why he's staring so intently. Flights are pretty intense, you know?"
Elra turned her attention to the woman next to her, her eyes suddenly taking a twinkling of interest as she mentioned her rank. “You’re a weyrling? But your not the gold’s rider.” And Elra found herself pretty sure of that statement as she had been carefully putting faces and names of the queen riders together and to memorization for the past sevenday. No, this was not Telgar’s youngest queen.
“Which means you must ride a green? Oh that’s wonderful! I must admit, I would not be disappointed to impress a green if I could not impress a little queen. Green riders seem to have so much more freedom.”
Letting the last bit out with a sigh at the end of her breath, she leaned forward and put her chin on a fist as she rest her elbow on the table. Watching the woman next to her with new respect and interest, the second half of the woman’s statement sunk in.
“Wait… You said HE caught your dragon in flight…” Eyes growing wide again, she glanced back at the man, before resting her chin back on her elbow and leaning a little closer. “I’ve slept with a few loosing riders, but from what I have heard, being part of the flight makes it much more intense.” Her face reddening for only a second, Elra gave a mischievous smile. “How was he? He sure looks like he’d be worth a night.”
Nisha blushed, and looked down. While she would never, ever, ever want to leave her darling Barsamith, it didn't mean that she was confident enough to admit to enjoy being a Greenrider. Girls weren't suppose to ride Green. She wasn't' suppose to break the rules. All in all, it wasn't the best situation. And that this odd candidate admitted to wanting a Green: it was a little much to take. But Nisha wasn't going to say anything. Most of her female friends either rode dragons(and not all on Greens either), and she knew it had once been okay. Didn't keep her mind from messing around with her everyone in a while.
Grabbing at a less awkward topic, Nisha carefully examined all knowledge she had of Flight, and presented it to the pretty candidate.
"Well, I couldn't say if he was worth it. I know his Dragon was, or that's what 'Samith thinks." Nisha laughed lightly. "But the only thing I've experienced is his body, and a kiss." This time, Nisha merely shrugged. "I've had better, though he's no fumble handed boy."
The reason she'd acted like a frightened virgin had much more to do with the fact that she'd had a crush on him. And now he was watching her. Odd, that.
"I'm Nisha. Rider of Green Barsamith." Nisha turned to the girl, and offered her hand.
Elra shook her head as she listened to the female rider. How could you spend a night with a man – a rider at that – and not know if the experience was worth it? Did being part of the actual flight really take all of the senses away from the person? But no, the brunette had said she experienced his body. What more was there to experience? Ah, it would just have to be something she would have to learn in due time she supposed.
If she impressed.
Taking the offered hand, Elra smiled again. “My name’s Elra. I’m a candidate, that is if the queens decide to bless us with another golden egg.” She let out a sigh at this, but pushed back a blonde strand of hair as she smiled again. “I’m still happy to be here.”
~~~
G’eph watched the two, sipping his slowly cooling klah. Not failing to watch the blush rise to the greenriders cheeks, he silently told Vanarth the look was becoming of her. No, he wouldn’t mind seeing that blush upon her cheeks more often.
Shut up, I’m sleeping. If you were sleeping you wouldn’t have replied. If you think she’s so pretty go tell her that, not me. Dumb Wherry.
G’eph visibly frowned at his dragon despite the brown not being in the room. Maybe I will. But even as he retorted back to the dragon he heard the light laugh and he looked up to once again find his eyes on Nisha. The upward curve of her lips as she laughed reminded him of other curves and the sailor couldn’t help but be glued to his seat once more.

Nisha was becoming less and less comfortable as time went on. People didn't stare at her. When she did have the occasional admirer, they got close to her, played with her hair, and seduced her in short order. They did not stare.
He isn't speaking to me either, so don't ask. Barsamith's tone was amused, and the amusement was poorly hidden. As a Green, she was often watched from afar before her suitors approached her. Nothing wrong with it. As long as this Brownrider did approach hers.
Nisha would have shot a dirty look at her Green, but there was nothing to glare at. She settled for the mental equivalent of a shove down her link, then refocused on the candidate in front of her, hoping the girl didn't notice the pause before she said anything.
"Being a Gold Candidate." Nisha smiled a little brighter. "Many surprises come from that." Like Green dragons. Of course, Nisha herself had done her best to avoid her Barsamith, and it was probably common candidate lore at this point. The girl who tried to refuse her dragon, and had therefor been the cause of a attack on a dragonrider by her dragon.
Embarrassing, that.
"Been getting along with the other girls?"

Elra rolled her eyes and exasperation could be heard easily on her voice as the conversation with the female rider distracted her from the man across the room.
“No! I swear I would be happier bunking in the boys side of the candidate barracks.” Letting out a frustrated sigh, she shoved a blonde strand behind her shoulder again before explaining herself. “There are two other gold candidates whom I’ve talked to, both only briefly but it was enough. One never even gave me her name, was younger and shorter than me by quite a bit and had already sized me up and snubbed me off as some kind of disgusting bug on the bottom of her shoe. The nerve!”
Rolling her eyes again, she forced herself to take a breath and with a bit calmer of a voice she shook her head. “The other is not so bad, but is very wrapped up in her studies. She’s a nice enough person, but she’s so young too! And she reminds me a lot of my sister, except with a stronger personality.” Smiling a bit she laughed. “But one sister is enough for me. I just wish there was another girl in the barracks who knew how to loosen up and have some fun while waiting for the queen to clutch another gold egg. They are all so focused…”
“Don’t get me wrong, I want to impress as the next person. But that doesn’t mean our every waking hour has to be spent devoted to that. We’re allowed to have fun and relax too.” Giving up, she put her chin in the palm of her hand and let her long fingers curl up to her cheek as she glanced around the room, noticing the brown rider once again, but bringing her eyes back up to the woman next to her. “I just don’t know sometimes.”

Nisha smiled. Oh, how excited she'd been to become a candidate, that loosing all of the fun she was used to wasn't at all a matter on her mind. But if she'd been a candidate for turns and turns, she was sure it would get old.
"When I've graduated, I'll help you find some fun." Nisha offered with a smile. "Unless you Impress before that happens. Sheluth is only a few months off rising, if her dam, and grand-dam are anything to go on." Not that she expected the Weyrling Queen to produce a Queen. But maybe Neory would stand up to Elisha and let girls stand. It's what she'd said to Nerine, and it could happen.
"Not that you probably have a hard time finding fun." Nisha gave the candidate a flirtatious once over. The Greenrider liked girls, after all. And if Barsamith were partaking in Flight, then her rider could partake in the pleasures of the flesh. Besides, if the candidate weren't straight, it would fit into Nisha's game plan. Else wise, she was finding an old friend, once she was done with this last roll.

Elra was reminded plenty of times how close the young queen was to rising by the other candidates. All were excited to have an extra clutch to gamble their chances on. But two queens did not mean better chances for a gold egg, and that too she knew far to well. If anything, being the oldest candidate in the barracks left her with a less dream-filled head.
The offered smile and choice of words were not missed and Elra smiled broadly, letting her hand slide from her chin to the table again. “It would be wonderful to have a girl to hang out with again.” Mischief dancing in her eyes, she glanced over at the brown rider again before looking back at the green rider. “And I could think of a few ‘fun’ things to do with ourselves.”
Elra’s initial thoughts were to rile up a couple of men, and two women were twice the tease as one. Having plenty of practice with her own flirting, the gold candidate instantly recognized the nature of the once over she realized the green rider was giving her. While she might have thought she’d be surprised at such a move from another woman, Elra found herself… excited, intrigued and curious by it. The curiosity shone through her eyes as she gave the green rider a once over as well – not the sizing up she had initially done to see how difficult it would be to take attentions away from the competition, but actually looking at the green rider.
“Tell me, just how long is it until you graduate?” she asked after a long moment, her voice a bit quieter now.

Nisha tilted her head to one side, and leaned into close to Elra, and whispered into her ear.
"Two months. But I'm open for a little fun now, if you're at all interested." The Greenrider tucked an errant curl behind her ear, and winked. So, she didn't have a weyr of her own- yet. A little bit of fun. That's all. And it seemed that the Gold candidate did swing her way. Amazing.
She leaned back, slightly, as to not to intrude upon the Queen Candidate's personal space. Nisha had learned some manners after all. Glancing off to the opposite side of G'eph, the Greenrider smiled mischievously. This was fun.
How glad she was that 'Samith had chosen this time to take her First Flight.
