Family: Father; V'rak (37)--Triveni Wingleader, rider of Bronze Bristith. Jannike is very much like her father, but she's far from a daddy's girl. She thinks he's too strict and controlling, and absolutely hates the fact that he will not let her Impress. They barely talk, and when they do, they're usually fighting.
Mother: Sairi (35)-- rider of green Jolith. A fiery woman in the Triveni wing. Jannike adores her and wants to be just like her. The woman encourages her to work hard to get to her goal.
Uncles: H’lthor (40)-- rider of brown Cynith, Wingsecond in the Pyralis Wing. He is the man Jannike can go to when she wants to know what's going on in the wingrider world, though he has no tolerance for any whining.
S’frid (39)-- Rider of blue Kerroth. He is the girl's favorite with his laid back ways and his tendency to spoil her, most likely because he doesn't agree with her father's decision to not let her join the candidates.

Appearance: About average height for her age, Jannike stands about 4'11 and she weights about 95 pounds. She has her father's striking blue eyes which are very expressive and allow a person to easily see her emotions, basically, she wears her heart on her sleeve. Her hair is a bright red and curly, which is about shoulder length, but usually pulled up to rest on the top of her head with bows and such items.
The young girl's clothing usually consists something that is durable and can withstand the everyday rough play of a kid who loves the outdoors. A loose shirt and khaki pants or a dress she can move around freely in.
Personality: Though she is like her father in many ways, there are also many places were they differ. Like her Father, Jannike tends to smile all the time, even when she is frustrated or unhappy, though you could easily tell her feelings through her eyes. She is stubborn like her mother and has a bad temper, she could be insulting you and be doing so with the sweetest smile on her face.
Jannike also believes that women can be just as good at being wingriders as men can be, and if not even better, her attitude coming from her father's insistence that it is too dangerous for her. The girl has vowed that she will prove him wrong one day... even if it takes her forever!
History: Even before she could talk, Jannike held all the signs of being a very intelligent and crafty child, with a love for dragons that was handed down from both sides of her family. And though it was made quite clear that she would not be allowed to try and Impress, that was not enough to stop the stubborn girl from learning as much as she could from her Uncles and Mother about their's, even taking short secret flights with her mother on Jolith. The first time that happened, the feeling of being in the sky, even if they really weren't up that high, was exhilarated, and the girl was hooked.
When the leadership change happened, Jannike was old enough to be aware of what was going on, but it didn't affect her, so she couldn't be bothered by it. Besides, most of her time is spent evading her weyrnanny and watching the dragons, sometimes even getting close to them. Usually she'll play with one of her family member's dragons, even Bristith, but any dragon that will put up with her incessant chattering is fine.
Jannike was one of the lucky ones. She was taken with an illness and constantly monitored. She didn’t much like being told to stay in bed. The first day she was sick, she tried to get out of bed. A passing healer saw her and put her back to bed. Her body was so weak, and she kept shaking. She had been sick for a good sevenday before she got better. And when she recovered, it was a long road back to her usual self. Her Weyrnanny was constantly by her side.
Jannike was down right angry when her mother left on a mission. She didn’t want her mother to leave. Over the last few months, Jannike had felt alone. Sure she had her family, but there were a few times she wanted her mother. She missed having secret flights with her mother and hers. She had since come to terms with her mother’s absence. She’s been helping out more with her chores and cleaning her mother’s weyr. She is anxious to see her mother again.

Welcome! I apologize for my delays.
And another error on my part... Jannike has aged a turn, since she has been in the adoptables. So everyone in her bio needs to be aged a turn as well. She should be 13 now.
Also would you mind adding a little more about how the illnesses may or may not have affected her. Another thing to consider is her biological mother is away on a mission for an entire turn. How have the last few months been on her with her real mother away?
